BDS Victory Over SodaStream Equals 900 Palestinians Out of Work (moving out of West Bank to Negev)
Shalom Life ^ | August 26th, 2014 | Daniel Koren

Posted on 08/26/2014 9:20:46 PM PDT by Olog-hai

One of the biggest news stories that accompanied the start of 2014 was Scarlett Johansson being named as the global ambassador of SodaStream, an Israeli company based out of the West Bank settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, which develops home carbonation systems that allow users to convert tap water into sparkling water, in more than 100 flavors. […]

Now, it seems the supporters finally have their wish: SodaStream has announced, in a reported non-political move, that they are moving the factory from the West Bank to a land that indisputably belongs to Israel (unless you’re a member of Hamas or ISIS), near the town of Lahavim in the Negev.

This means that the Israeli company will no longer be “occupying” in the West Bank. Good job, BDS supporters.

Oh, it also means that 900 Palestinians—the people you claim you're trying to protect here—are now out of a job. …

Are BDS supporters the same thing as BVD jockey shorts?

It’s akin to a force of nature, or Manifest Destiny if you will, that Israel was destined to rule in a dusty wasteland in the Middle East. They turned the desert into a Hebrew oasis. Now the pitiful, layabout former residents want the oasis and want the Hebrews dead.

Manifest Destiny..it was reason enough for us the wrest the west from the scruffy aboriginal tribes that were resident and so it’s a good enough excuse for the Israeli’s.

Oh, and then there is that little promise that God made to the Hebrews......if you believe in that sort of thing.

No, but they do smell a bit like a pair of BVD’s that have been worn for a week or so.

Ma’ale Adumim is a major Israeli city of over 40,000 people, a cery- near- suburb of Jerusalem (essentially a continuation of, adjacent to Jerusalem). As such, it will continue to enjoy and develop economically and in all other signficant ways...with or without this factory. Lehavim has some 7,000 people in the northern Negev desert. As a developing city not immmediately adjacent to Jerusalem (or Tel Aviv), it could probably make good use of these 900 jobs. My conclusion... this is not a big problem. And, this company continues to enjoy signficant public favor for its products, so we can expect it to further expand and, probably, hire even more people in the next few years.

Not a big problem for the company, but I would not say that the 900 Palestinian workers got a good deal.

Sounds like certain of the population here in the U.S. that grew up poor, fatherless, and almost entirely without moral standards -and begin rioting, looting, and even murdering at the drop of a hat because others "of privilege" made something of themselves and their lives so now the "downtrodden" demand "justice".

Oh, and the Illegals now as well.

The Muslims need to go live in Muslim countries. As we see here, even when the Israelis try to treat them well, their own people won’t stand for it and will keep trying to undermine them as long as they’re still living in Israel. Best they move now while they can, and before they get bombed by their terrorist murderer brothers.

The Muslims regard all territory that was under Muslim rule at any time in history (whether they actually lived there or not) as Muslim country. Revanchism is a way of life for them once they get territory taken away from them by the infidels.

Stands for “Boycott, Divest, Sanction”; it’s a leftist movement targeting any Israeli businesses or, essentially, any activity that involves Israel beyond the 1967 borders.

There's a profound irony here, because "the 1967 borders" is the one many of us in the non-muslim world also prefer.

They, prior to June 5, 1967

The sane world, after June 11, 1967.

Then that’s another reason why israrl needs to make the facts of life clear for them. Or help them collect their 72 virgins ASAP.
