'The Russian bear is encountering the Obama kitty cat': Ted Cruz slams Obama for refusing to

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz unloaded on President Barack Obama at a conservative conference on Saturday afternoon over the U.S. leader's refusal to directly confront Russia over it's invasion of Ukraine last week.

After claiming that 'all across this world America has receded from leadership' Cruz told attendees of Americans for Prosperity's annual Defending the American Dream Summit, held this year in the Texas lawmaker's home state, Cruz zeroed in on Obama's handling of the situation in Ukraine.

'Look at Russia right now,' Cruz said, according to Business Insider. 'Sadly, the state of the world is the Russian bear is encountering the Obama kitty cat.'

Speaking at Americans for Prosperity's Defending the American Dream Summit this weekend, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz told fellow conservatives that President Barack Obama was a kitty cat compared to Russian head Vladimir Putin

'You know what?' Cruz said, moments later. 'The United States of America has never been a kitty cat.

'The reason Putin feels no fear to march into his neighbors, the reason why our allies up and down Europe are terrified of what's next is because this president, as he puts it, is leading from behind.

Obama referred to the deployment of nearly 1,000 Russian troops into Ukraine late last week as an 'incursion,' but the president and his administration have avoided acknowledging the military build up as an invasion.

'I consider the actions that we've seen in the last week a continuation of what's been taking place for months now,' Obama said in remarks last Thursday.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

That’s really an insult to cats. I’d be more inclined to say that the Russian Bear has encountered the Obama hamster.

Don’t malign cats. At least when a cat is cornered, I give the cat better than even odds. Those claws can rip a dogs nose off, or the skin on your arms.

Obama is more like a rat, opportunistic, damaging, and scurries away at the slightest movement.

Oh man. Obama will hear this, and he won’t be happy. I wish I could be there.

This has to be hard for him. He wants to destroy the country, but he can’t tolerate ridicule.

Putin is also the reason Obama backed off on Syria.....TWICE.

Russia doesn’t want anybody screwing with their warm water ports in Syria.

So what would Cruz have done? Other than build the missile shield that most of NATO doesn’t want and none of NATO is willing to help pay for?

More like a kangaroo rat. If you’ve been in the desert areas near the Rocky Mountains, you’d know every bit what I am talking about. Cowardly and far from brilliant, except being hard to catch when they’re burrowed under the sand.

Putin is taking all he can before he has to face a Republican Congress in 2015 and a new President—a GOP—President on 1-20-2017. Looks like he has his “Greater Russia” (with German Blessings)—now he needs to patch things up with the US and EU. They will have their hands full with IS attacks and a Conservative swing. It almost looks like Putin knows something we do not.

No, Obama is not like a rat. A rat is a vertebrate. It has a spine. Obama is more like the stuff collecting in a septic tank way overdue on cleaning. Viruses, bacteria, protozoans, and worms.

So if President Cruz was in office right now what would he be doing?

....”It almost looks like Putin knows something we do not”....

What has really changed for the average Ukrainian?.... The situation is far worse.... They still have an oligarch as a leader coupled with a full scale civil war among many Oligarch factions interested in controlling the resources of Ukraine.....the recent passages in the senate bill now gives US corporations control of Ukraines’s energy infrastructure...and large corportations to control the agriculture...Oligarch involved.

Putin has the Russian Military Machine.
Rasmussen has Nato’s piece-meal Military machine.
Poroshenko has chocolate....his army is “in pitiful shape” according to the UN.

The US, UK, Saudi Arabia and the global banking interests know that China and other BRICS countries will sooner or later pose a challenge to its financial supremacy.

They believe to continue the the US petro-dollar and the ‘status quo’, it is better to act sooner than later - weaken Russia & China’s access to international oil and build up a large military coalition against both.

Global war is not entirely unimaginable now, and it is our Western leaders who are putting us on that path. ISIS may be the factor which brings all this to a compromise, there must be a united effort, which includes Russia, against this threat.

This is about geopolitical power struggles....amid a world-wide ISIS threat. Who has the military might and know how closest to do the most to stop ISIS??? I can’t see how they can leave Russia out of the equation to overcome ISIS.

Of course it is. The Russians and their agents have been looting Ukraine for more than a decade, they decimated it during their rule.
