I’d say my preview of President Obama’s ISIS speech held up quite well, right down to his abundant first-person references to himself. As anticipated, he continues to view the Islamic State as primarily a domestic political problem. His primary objective is to move the narrative away from his hideous behavior over the summer, from his endless parties and golf outings to his disastrous “I have no strategy” gaffe. On Wednesday night, President Obama declared war on his bad poll numbers.
If there’s one thing I didn’t anticipate, it was Obama’s delusional stroll into his “recovery” fantasies near the end of the speech. That’s perfectly consistent with Operation Get My Poll Numbers Out Of the Basement, but I didn’t think he’d be quite so blatant about it. He’s basically trying to argue people out of scoring his domestic policies so poorly when pollsters call them. Meanwhile, back here in the real world, the workforce continues to collapse, the last unemployment report was an “unexpected” disaster, and within 12 hours of Obama’s speech, jobless claims had soared far beyond expectations for the week. The “unmatched universities” Obama boasted of are crushing students with skyrocketing tuition debt burdens, and churning out people with expensive degrees who can’t find a job.

Amazing how bad poll numbers and bad press reviews will turn a tried and true ‘cut and runner’ into a war hawk.(at least in rhetoric)

Seeing that are borders are wide open, and ISIS are some pretty crazy dudes, I’m fully expecting attacks all over the U.S. in the next 6 months.

I’ve been expecting attacks for years now. Amazing some jihadis haven’t opened fire in shopping malls in some major cities.
But the attacks are coming, no doubt about that.
I honestly watched... until he forgot Benghazi... then I was done! Did not hear/register a single word after that. Where was he that night that he does not remember, or acknowledge the US was attached just two years ago today. Oh wait, that was a video, there was no stand down while they tried to find Obama, and even now, nobody knows where he was or what was he doing. Makes me sick! And today I pray for the families of all 9/11 deaths and injuries, be it 2001 or 2012, the latter which our President can’t remember because why?? He was sleeping? Where was he???????

we will be in the same position in 2 years.
without ground forces, I do not believe we can destroy them, they will move, hunker down, etc..
we’ll pick off a few trucks and continue to to do that, and that will make the night news...

The speech revealed what we already knew about this man-he will say anything, even to the brink of asserting American exceptionalism, to shore up his failing legacy. His contempt for his audience is so deep that he says things that are in direct contradiction of what he said weeks or months ago, on the assumption he will never called on his duplicity or held to account. Unfortunately, in the mainstream media, his assumption is correct.
The biggest mistake in American political history will be the fact and truth that the Democrat Party did not move effectively and swiftly to force POTUS Obama to resign!!! It will be a stain on the Democrat Party for many years to come!!!
The title is a perfect summary of Obama’s “speech” in less than 10 words.
No need to watch.It’s always the same when it comes to Islam.
Make a speech promising some sort of undefined action and in the same speech state that Islam is a peaceful religion.Chastise Americans and warn them not to be bigots or fear Islam,and realize that we must understand this is a result of the root causes from past American behavior.Promise that after tough action we will work with Muslim nations to fundamentally change past American injustice which will solve the problem.
Send out the talking points to the media and have them praise our brilliant President and tell the masses everything is working out just fine ignore those racist right wing extremists that say different.
Do nothing militarily and wait under the story fades after ginning up a racial incident,or a war on women,or stir up some class warfare issue.
Use the pen & phone to allow several hundred thousand Muslim refugees to immigrate to the U.S.and state that’s it’s for humanitarian reasons to escape from the warfare in their homeland(excluding Christians of course). Make sure they get guaranteed income from the taxpayers too.
Would he really do or say anything else?
I noticed the POSOTUS managed to find 2 spiffy and LARGE flags to wave at his stump speech.
Looked really American, didn’t he?
Was the “e pluribus unum” flag a message to American or izlamists?
