Oops, I hate it when that happens.
Unfortunately, a black eye for the argument in favor of concealed carry by teachers in schools. I almost wonder how this could come to happen -- i.e. could she have really been that clumsy, or did somebody put her up to it?
I hate to think that way, and I hope she recovers quickly from her injury. But this is pretty weird...

Authorities initially thought the teacher had accidently shot herself. They now believe she was injured when the bullet and toilet fragments struck her lower leg. What is wrong with these two sentences?

I personally think pistols carried in schools by teachers should have the old type safety on them plus no round in chamber. A Glock is not what I would recommend for teachers. I hope she is well and corrects what happened.

Was the projectile found? Maybe it was just lactose intolerance.
To: dayglored
Probably didn't have it in some sort of holster.
You should always use a holster, unless you like the idea of an unintentional discharge.

Concealed carry and panty hose.... a real problem. She should do like Rosie O’Donnell and stand up while urinating.

One has to wonder if she is actually an
ANTI-GUN teacher who simply fabricated the entire so-called "accident" to make it appear that firearms can just randomly shoot on their own?
Stranger things have happened...

All of my firearms are defective I guess...
Never had a single off of them just go off for no apparent reason. They’ve all required actuation of the trigger to fire.
Ok... There’s that old Mauser rifle. Flip the safety off too fast while cocked and it’ll slip the sear. That’ll surprise you...

WTF is it with all the Glock paranoia on this friggin site? Don't trust yourselves with a weapon? A Glock trigger is pretty hard to pull and has a long travel. Keeping yer booger hook off the bang switch and making sure the fool thing is unloaded before you clean it goes a helluva long way.
No weapon safety system can overcome human stupidity. Which is apparently rampant even with so-called "experts". Went off while attempting to field strip? Sounds like some dipstick "expert" isn't that much of an "expert" after all. /rant d:^)

Cops frequently drop their pistols in the porcelan pot. Results are similar.

I remember going to the latrine armed to the teeth. Never shot myself, at least.
