US to send 3,000 troops to Ebola danger zone as Obama admin shuffles military's mission in Africa
Daily Mail ^ | September 15, 2014 | David Martosko, U.S. Political Editor

The United States government is sending thousands of military troops to the west African nation of Liberia as part of the Obama administration's Ebola virus-response strategy, the White House said late Monday night.

'U.S. Africa Command will set up a Joint Force Command headquartered in Monrovia, Liberia, to provide regional command and control support to U.S. military activities and facilitate coordination with U.S. government and international relief efforts,' a statement from the White House press office said.

'A general from U.S. Army Africa, the Army component of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), will lead this effort, which will involve an estimated 3,000 U.S. forces.'

Liberia is the hardest-hit of the four west African nations that have confirmed Ebola cases, accounting for more than one-half of the fatalities. The others are Sierra Leone, Guinea and, to a lesser extent, Nigeria.

Some of what America's armed personnel will do in Liberia is unclear. The White House said 'many' of them will be stationed at an 'intermediate staging base' where they will supervise the movement of medical staff, supplies and heavy equipment.

AFRICOM already warns its own personnel that they should 'avoid nonessential travel to Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia.'

And the Defense Department is concerned, one Pentagon official told MailOnline, about the public perceptions aroused when American G.I.s patrol ground zero in a disease outbreak that could plunge three or more countries into chaos if it worsens significantly.

Combat soldiers and Marines 'will be on hand and ready for anything,' said the official, who has knowledge of some, but not all, of the Ebola-related planning. 'But hopefully it will be all logistics and hospital-building.'

'The president has ordered us to help, and we're eager to do it,' he said....

The US military is 18% black. I know the communist in our White House doesn’t care about 3,000 abstract Americans facing this disease to generate an Obama photo op, but I hope Obama is racist enough to care about the roughly 540 blacks he is putting in danger for no apparent reason. They’re Americans too, although I’m not sure the community organizer cares about them either, or about anyone but himself.

This pansy, throws like a girl, exercises like a swish, barely a man, more of a child, inwardly ugly, poor excuse for a human; infantile, cold, selfish, obnoxious, fatuous, putrid piece of human flesh not fit to lick the boots of even one of our military men, deserves to contract this deadly virus before any one of our soldiers ever does. Ditto for the servile satan lovers that surround him. There, I feel better.

Standing and applauding...brilliant assessment.

Obola kills everything he touches. Much worse than Ebola, Ebola kills quick.

Troops are for fighting.

they can’t make 3000 US military troops into “bubble boys”

Liberians will have to provide some basic service or have contacts with the deployed unit.

Every bit of money they touch is potentially infected. Dogs and other animals. All public transport. Any African who has relatives they visit in the Bush can come back infected and got to work at or near the military compound for days until they show symptoms

If it is airborne, what then? Strenuous military duty in equatorial Africa in pressurized biohazard suits? Controlling (with lethal force) angry panicked mobs that need only nick a tear in a suit to inflict death on those foreign whites they will rapidly come to resent and hate?

One jab with a syringe by a Boko Haram or an al Shabaab operative and the entire unit is at risk?

I think not.

this isn’t a peacekeeping mission

it’s a mission to protect scarce resources that will benefit a small number of dying people and the elites and use lethal force to guard against access by panicked dying mobs

it’s a mission to back up Liberia troops in keeping panicked dying mobs inside a quarantine area while trying to deliver food and water to the quarantined to make their dying seem less inhumane - a confined death zone

It won’t take the average Liberians long to fall out of love with these guards and enforcers

If bow-boy can’t eliminate WTP in one way...by denying US health coverage (especially the coverage promised a Vet), he will proceed with the alternate plan of importing disease, plague or any other health hazard of major impact. Hells Bells, the creature has already proclaimed WTP could absorb a nuclear attack. The jerk wishes to wipe US out of the picture....the sooner the better and in anyway he can.

The game of Ebola Roulette continues...

*click* spin *click* spin *click* spin…

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

We’re gonna need

a bigger cart!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

So if a hemorrhaging Ebola infected person starts running toward a soldier flinging blood all over what are the rules of engagement for self defense of this living bio weapon?

"Since he want to put our men in harms way, why doesn’t the commander in chief take a fact finding trip to tour the Ebola plagued areas himself? Do they have golf in Liberia?"

Obama will take charge offshore - as soon as he lauches his new navy ship:

It is beyond stupid to expose 3000 US troops to Ebola.

What medical skills do these troops bring to the problem?

Obama is doomed once our troops start contracting the disease.

Let’s do the rudimentary political math. Polls show that the military votes conservative. By sending troops to a biological hazard area, the odds of killing off conservatives is greatly enhanced. If some troops can be infected with exotic infectious African diseases, that disease can be spread to conservative families back home when the troops return.

This whole mess, to me, smells like a biological warfare plan to kill off conservatives. And I’ll bet the farm that the Nazi Soros and his eco-fascist pawns are behind this. President Buckwheat is following orders.

To what purpose are troops in a plague ridden area?
All this is doing is exposing more Americans to Ebola for no valid.
You deploy troops when you need large numbers of relief supplies to go somewhere quickly or you need to kill or destroy something or someone.
Ebola does not qualify as a legitimate use of American military manpower; it’s political posturing only.
