Good, we need the water!
Please bring some to Tx.
So will the Border Patrol be required to put up warning signs for the illegals?
Very odd to see this in the Sea of Cortez.
Back when I was a youth, I visited a friend who was stationed at White Sands in NM. As I was driving down there through the desert, I had noticed white sticks with numbers, usually1-5, posted along the roads. I asked him about that, and he told me that’s so drivers know how deep the water is across the roads. He then showed me a couple of dams out in the middle of the desert and a topographic map of the area.
I got it.
Southwest Undeaders, eyes to the skies.
Awesome!
A good start to breaking the drought.
I never thought I’d ever say this but......... “let it rain let it rain let it rain”.
After slogging through so many wet muddy years on the Texas coast I was sick and tired of rain.
Then came our recent drought! It was so horrible to go several years without sufficient rain and have to watch huge 100+ year old trees die for lack of water. The weatherman announced the other night that we are officially finished with that drought. Yea rain!
Or not. So far we’ve got some drizzles in Tucson. Sticky but pleasant.
Too bad it is not going up the California coast.
I was in Palm Springs years ago when rainfall created a 6’ wash in a matter of minutes. Can be pretty treacherous out there, with basically nothing to absorb all that water. THO, I must admit the following Spring was absolutely gorgeous with wildflowers growing through the desert. I sure hope folks take appropriate precautions.
