The Number Of Volcanic Eruptions Is Increasing And That Could Lead To An Extremely Cold Winter

Volcanic Eruption

The number of volcanoes that are erupting continues to rise, and scientists cannot seem to explain why this is happening. In 2013, we witnessed the most volcanic eruptions worldwide that we have ever seen in a single year, and this increased activity has carried over into 2014. In recent months, we have seen major volcanoes roar to life in Russia, Peru, Hawaii, Reunion Island, Indonesia, and all over Alaska. It is highly unusual for so many volcanoes to all be erupting at the same time. According to Volcano Discovery, a whopping 34 volcanoes are erupting around the globe right now. This is sending a massive amount of dust and ash into the upper atmosphere, and it may explain why many parts of the planet are experiencing strangely cold weather at the moment. If this trend continues, we could potentially be facing years of crop failures and widespread famines all over the world.

And what we have witnessed already may just be the beginning. There are several more very large volcanoes around the globe that scientists are extremely concerned about right now.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if all the Co2 man puts into the atmosphere was actually helping to avert a coming ice age?

Good luck with that

The Sun's magnetic field is in decline

So less sunspots.

Last time this happened there was a mini ice age from 1350 to 1750

Good luck surviving with less electricity and GE modified seeds

Oppps - yet one more critical variable the warnmists didn’t even take into account in their quest to sell us all on global warming.....

The idea/theory of volcanic activity having cause a disruption in climate is pretty much proven by history. Natural events beyond mans control have far more likelihood of impact than any of mans so called footprint. Instead of pouring money into GREEN Energy we need to focus research realistically on developing the means to survive short term as in a year or two natural catastrophic events.

Of course, the volcanic eruptions are caused by climate change, (which in turn is caused by those Republicans driving their SUV’s).

Hell No!

Albert Gore said this was going to happen, it is proof of global warming.

Cooling.

Change, yeal, that’s the ticket!

No, not that. My question is how do we know the present level of volcanic activity is unusual? It’s scientists in the West who generally keep track of that and we didn’t have a worldwide presence doing that until not very long ago in historical terms.

Humankind is very self centered and egotistical.

I'm not seeing how that effects me or my situation.

There are records from various sources going back quite a ways, a couple of thousand years, in China and elsewhere. To me, “unusual” levels of volcanic activity would lead to noteworthy associated phenomena such as extremely vivid sunsets, the moon appearing to change color, etc. That sort of thing has always been regarded as unusual, and it’s associated with a large amount of particulate matter in the atmosphere, most often from volcanic activity.

You know what? I’m not going to worry about it.

It is what it is, and I can’t think of anything to do about it.

We’ll have to adapt, or not...

In the mean time I’m going to live life to the fullest.

"A group of Native Americans proved (by dumping a boatload in the ocean) that iron oxide from volcanic eruptions causes plankton in the North Pacific to grow fast, supercharging the salmon’s food chain."

Iron rich dust from Africa caused the Bahama Islands to form:
(Also fertilizes South American jungles)

Saharan dust is key to formation of Bahamas' Great Bank, study finds

Lay on extra cords of firewood, put in a larger store of food in case of poor growing seasons. Get a set of Blizzaks mounted on an extra set of rims for winter driving. Maybe get a plow attachment for the lawn and garden tractor. Beyond that, it’s just weather. Not much you can do to change it but you can prepare for it to an extent.

Exactly.

I have been doing that for 65 years and I plan to do the same for a few more.

Cheers....

TOBA is the most serious volcanic eruption in the last 75,000 years. The 'winter' produced by this event reduced the worldwide human population to about 10,000...it's still detectable in our genes.

Late Pleostocene Human Population Bottlenecks. . . (Toba)

"The last glacial period was preceded by 1000 years of the coldest temperatures of the Late Pleistocene, apparently caused by the eruption of the Mount Toba volcano. The six year long volcanic winter and 1000-year-long instant Ice Age that followed Mount Toba's eruption may have decimated Modern Man's entire population. Genetic evidence suggests that Human population size fell to about 10,000 adults between 50 and 100 thousand years ago. The survivors from this global catastrophy would have found refuge in isolated tropical pockets, mainly in Equatorial Africa. Populations living in Europe and northern China would have been completely eliminated by the reduction of the summer temperatures by as much as 12 degrees centigrade.

You can move to a warmer climate, e.g., the southern bible belt.

“The number of volcanoes that are erupting continues to rise, and scientists cannot seem to explain why this is happening.”

Fairly simple explanation. When the heat and pressure rises in the volcanoes to a critical point they then erupt. When many of them erupt the number of volcanoes erupting will rise.

Pretty Slow Joe Biden simple.

Not "ever" - during the past 35 years, which is the extent of the satellite era. We don't have much of a clue prior to that.
