Will Tea Party, GOP establishment be 'mending fences' to win Senate in November?
Fox News ^ | September 20, 2014

After a long, unapologetic effort to defeat Tea Party candidates in GOP primaries, the Washington establishment will likely need Tea Party voters in November to help swing several tight Senate races and win control of the upper chamber.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Friday dismissed the notion that party voters are not united behind their candidates. “Can you point to a race … ? It’s a false narrative,”

Kevin Broughton, spokesman for the Tea Party Patriots singled out a few races, particularly in Kansas and Mississippi, but suggested his troops will rally for the general election.

Broughton said they will focus on such grassroots efforts as get-out-the-vote, instead of buying TV or other media spots.

All six Republican senators who faced promising Tea Party-backed challenges won their primaries, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who in March boldly predicted he and the rest of the Washington establishment would “crush” far-right advocacy groups and their candidates.

“I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country,” the five-term Kentucky Republican told The New York Times.

The other wins came in Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Kansas, where the NRSC helped incumbent GOP Sen. Pat Roberts to victory with more than 40,000 phone calls in the final three weeks of his campaign.

In Mississippi, Tea Party-backed candidate Chris McDaniel forced GOP incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran -- who had strong inside-the-beltway financial and grassroots support -- into a runoff to retain his seat.

Politico described the contest as “a flashpoint in the GOP civil war.

Not throwing in the towel, just taking out the trash.

The problem is that there are two trashes to deal with. If we knock down our devil we are stuck with the other sides devil.

There is a lot of differing opinions on which is worst. Some say let the other side win and therefore take the blame for all the damage.
I say pick the one that is going to do the least damage for us to clean up later.

What would lead you to believe a promise from the GOPe?

I don't know what we could ask for as a goodwill gesture. Somebody who is more knowledgeable would have to come up with it.

However, we have their attention because they spent a lot of money in primaries. We can promise them that if they don't let the conservatives come to the table, they will be spending more money next election.

That sounds depressingly similar to the conversation in 2012. IMO the GOPe needs to DO something, not SAY something.

We have a chance to break the party and to TRY to restore it to the REAL and loyal opposition, a party that actively opposes communism, and an increasingly subsidized American population, indentured servitude to Chinese Communists, the Godless and socialist public re-education camps, pacifism, and threats on Christian religious liberty.

How do you propose to bring the population with us? The culture, the economy, the media, the education system, the government, everything is against us. We have to convert the population to conservative principles and they have most of the tools working against us. Our only tool is the internet and a few political leaders.

You are proposing starting from scratch. I think it might be easier to co-opt an existing structure like the GOP.

We are two decades too late.

I'm afraid you're right. But still we are the last few old timers that still remember how things are supposed to be.
We have to try to pass it on.

I agree. But by not doing something, they are letting us know that they want to maintain the status quo.

We have to keep applying the pressure, they are not going to give up easy.

Actually withholding support and votes can be an excellent method of applying pressure...

Be careful what you wish to co-opt.

To break the party RINO strangle hold is not done by repeatedly voting them back into office.

They must LOSE to expect a course correction.

Yes, this means LOSING in general elections, where it is actually effective, because the message is received.

Not voting for a RINO is a most valuable vote. It rejects the plantation mentality.

It also means our Hope is not in a party apparatus for saving us. We know who is our Savior is.

If society chooses to fall and fail in such great numbers as you suggest, then who am I to stop a nation who has elected to enslave itself, but voting RINO has proven no deterrent, it makes you complicit.

Resistance has always been hard and risky. Not to resist is worse.

Slowing down the retribution that MUST be inflicted on our ruling class enemies in the GOP Establishment, Wall Street, K Street, the US Chamber of Crony Socialism, etc., just gives these enemies more time to regroup and try to demoralize those who ARE our army against our enemies. Solzhenitsyn described it, as to his fellow Russians, as "the accursed capacity of our people to endure suffering. It is time to make our phony GOP-E enemies do the suffering.

The Ku Klux Klan no longer has much influence even among Southern Democrats. That is because decent Democrats decided to orphan the Klan permanently. It is time for us to do the same with the trust fund babies. They are collectively a despicable disgrace. They are an albatross around the neck of the Republican Party and, until it is replaced by a new and far less Hamiltonian Party, around the neck of the conservative movement.

Most folks want to be "civil." I do not. In the memorable words of Conan the Barbarian, I want to meet the enemy in battle, spill his entrails upon the earth and listen to the lamentations of his women. And make no mistake. The enemy is the perfumed, pampered, privileged princes of the GOP-E and their Demonratic counterparts.

They do not care if another million plus babies are brutally murdered every year. Myth Romney actually entered into a business to dispose of the tiny corpses for profit. The ruling class monsters actually approve of the carnage.

They do not defend the institution of marriage between one man and one woman. They are social libertines. If their son Adam wants to "marry" his main squeeze Bruce, that's jake with them. "Gay""marriage" is largely the product of "Republican" phonies on federal benches cramming fudgepacking down the nation's throat.

So long as they maximize their profits from arms production and sales, they don't care about the outcomes of the actual wars. We have not won a war since 1945 other than the partial victory in Gulf War I (leaving Saddam Hussein and the rape rooms in business) because the elitists find the notion of victory in war just plain embarrassing. They might feel differently if the US government offered financial bonuses for military victory and penalties for anything less than victory.

They oppose welfare for the genuinely poor and helpless while seeking corporate welfare in obscene amounts for businesses ranging from Goldman Sachs to banks "too big to be allowed to fail," to Wall Street Masters of the Universe, who contributed greatly to this great and ongoing recession, lest their mansions in the Hamptons be foreclosed, to every form of financial corruption known to man or beast. How many people of modest means have lost their jobs, their homes, their families, their way of life. Are they somehow LESS worthy than the plutocrats???

If we defeat and destroy the "GOP" treasonweasels staring with the leaders first and terminate their careers, then they won't be selling us out any more for their no longer extant careers.

American prosperity was built upon people like Henry Ford and Thomas Edison and Steve Jobs (who offshored the resultant job opportunities) and other inventors and geniuses not by corporate bureaucrats, re-arranging the financial deck chairs on the Titanic, moving all factory jobs to Bangladesh to exploit children there for pennies per hour and no benefits while stripping American workers of modest means of their economic lives. It could be built on the oceans of oil and natural gas that have been found recently under most of the American heartland. But, NOOOOO, the envirowhacko wing of our upper class want to keep us in thrall to their Islamofascist buddies, draining American resources to fund wars against us.

All this is only PART of the story. We ARE a backwater country like Mexico and fast-moving toward Bangladesh. Our nation is in economic ruins. When wars must be fought, ordinary Americans do the fighting and dying and are the ones who suffer the disabilities from IEDs while no one before or after Myth Romney in his direct line has EVER served in war or in peace. They are too busy raking in the ill gotten gains to subject themselves to the same challenges as working and middle class kids.

Therefore, in short: ten-holer gallows to dispose of the spineless excuses for "GOP" leadership: 24/7/365 until the job is done. Those who would be hanged are NOT OUR ARMY and they never will be. They are the ENEMY. When we finish them off, we will take on the Demonrats.

The RINO love fest types recently inspired me to change my tagline.
If they, as they claim, don’t support the actions of liberal “republicans” then one must by need wonder why the hell they voted for the idiot to begin with.
Only real conclusion is: they support the actions of the RINO.
Otherwise they wouldn’t be giving the RNC/GOP the warm fuzzies over running any pos they dug up as the morons will vote for him anyway.
(I.E, despite protesting otherwise, they would vote for Stalin if the RNC dug him up and ran him as a Republican. Just look at how they drooled over running white Obama, er, Mitt Romney.)

Yes, this is what is best in life - after when war has been declared on you by your own supposed leadership.

The destruction of the Progressive Conservative Party in Canada occurred when they lost general election after general election, limited to only a handful of seats while the Reform Party and Canadian Alliance Party as it was later called got 45-65 seats.

The Liberal Party controlled the House of Commons for a decade or more, but that’s what had to happen to break the old party down.

Canada survived and Stephen Harper is Prime Minister today.

RINO’s must lose general elections even if it means that Democrats win.

Thank you for making the point with evidence!

These General Election losses must come to the GOPE, cycle after cycle, and in the same pattern and intensity as they used to win, when trading on our fears to swap for our vote!

Andrew Breitbart changed all that. (RIP).

These FR concern trolls and outright collaborators from the RINOS FOREVER crowd, use the language of the pussy foot while pushing the plantation propaganda on us.

It has taken us awhile, but we’re getting there.

Thank you so much, rush!

The GOPe machine breeds our fear and or resentment of Obama, Reid, Pelosi, the MSM, people on welfare, even illegal immigrants to get our votes.

Then once in power they go the same way as the Dems, maintain the welfare state and push for illegal immigrants to get amnesty etc. etc. etc.

And no better place for that to happen than in Mississippi. The Dem candidate running against Thad Cochran is a Conservative Dem. (Yes, there are still a lot of them down here in the South.) He is Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment and ANTI-Same Sex Marriage. I’m thinking he is also AGAINST Amnesty; I’ll have to check my sources on that one.

You are correct about the desperation setting in 3 weeks out. You are wrong though about who. Like every election,’we’ will get skeered again and puss out, attack principled people refusing to elect liberalism again and then spend the next election cycle justifying our Kerry level abandonment of our beliefs....TO WIN!!!

See 2012 for most recent example. And every thread like this filled with sycophants self justifying their lack of resolve and situational ethics.

I wish it were not so, but it is so.

Rita. What you are suggesting is not conservatism. It's anarchy. Just burn the party to the ground and then miraculously a conservative party will arise from the ashes.

You are proposing chaos. That is the recipe for tyrants or well organized socialists to rise. Out of the chaos some leader will arise that says we should all share equally and be one big happy commune. It's happened all over Europe, Asia, and Africa. And your still pushing some brand of this Marxist agenda. It doesn't work.
