NEW YORK — The maker of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is being sold to Russian company Oasis Beverages for an undisclosed sum.

Oasis is buying Pabst with TSG, an investment firm known for its work with consumer products companies. TSG Consumer Partners will take a minority stake in Pabst.

In addition to its namesake beer, Pabst Brewing Co. makes Colt 45, Old Milwaukee and Schlitz, in addition to regional brews such as Lone Star, Rainier and Old Style. Pabst was acquired in 2010 by C. Dean Metropoulos & Co., which is known for investing in food brands, including Twinkie maker Hostess.

Well, too many stupid folks along with those that just never listen to politics so probably very little effect on sales.

Seems terrible but that’s life these days. The stupid, the uneducated, the uncaring Americans with no knowledge of History or Politics is known worldwide it seems. Ever watch Waters’s World on the O’Reilly Factor? Wow, these kids make me ashamed to be American. Talk about ignorance, and that is with current College students!

Despite what we are led to believe,
Russia has a third world economy that entirely relies on petroleum.
Easy to put a clinker in their GDP by not allowing drilling or pumping equipment etc.
Also Putins close friends are making huge profits and becoming billionaires.
We can crimp their lifestyles by not allowing these fools monetary transactions internationally.
Pretty simple really.
Lower your average Russian’s standard of living and the gubmint loses support.

Didn’t know Pabst still exists. Haven’t bought any since I turned 21 :)

Kyle McLaughlin’s char: (softly) Heinken.

Hopper’s char: (loudly) HEINEKEN? F-— THAT S-—! PABST!

Lower your average Russian’s standard of living and the gubmint loses support.

It took 72 years for it to work last time, and we're still waiting for it to work in Korea, Cuba, and Iran.

As far as Schlitz they can keep it. It's name Schlitz is similar to what it takes like. Although I haven't drank any since the 1960s.

I try to only drink beer I can’t see though. The blacker, the better. If it has junk stuck to the bottom of the glass, pitcher, or bottle, even better.
