Obama says intel officials 'underestimated' rise of ISIS Never autoplay videos
One wouldn't be surprised if President Obama's Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, woke up Monday morning checking for tire tracks after his boss effectively threw him under the bus for having "underestimated" the threat posed by the Islamic State militant group.
But Obama's remarks in a "60 Minutes" interview drew immediate objections from lawmakers and the intelligence community.
In the interview, Obama was asked how the Islamic State was able to gain so much territory. "Our head of the intelligence community Jim Clapper has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria," the president said.

Let’s not be so quick...he might be right here. He rarely if ever attended the intelligence presentation so it is probably factually correct they did not tell him there was a problem!! Our ignorant half breed muzzie leader is the perfect sergeant shultz when he says I know nothing. Unfortunately his supporters in the media never follow up with some pointed questions to assess the depth behind his comment i.e. when is someone going to ask him where were you on the evening of Bengazi and what and when did you know about it?

Anyone else remember, some of the more extreme liberals, blamed Bush for 9/11? The smoking gun for them was the presidential intelligence briefing of Aug. 6, 2001, which contained a warning that Bin Laden wanted to hijack airplanes.
Other liberals criticized Bush and his people for not “connecting the dots” to anticipate and prevent 9/11. Anyone else remember all of that?
Yet in this case, will Obama take any blame for bad intelligence????? What are the liberal criteria for evaluating this situation????

Does anyone else think this is worded strangely? So, Clapper acknowledges that ozero thinks he muffed it, but that is a far cry from Clapper saying that Clapper muffed it. I also noticed the injection of the "I", he just can't keep from talking about himself.
What are the liberal criteria for evaluating this situation????

"This does remind me of the time I got rich selling fertilized chicken eggs. I went out and bought several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs. I kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. Following those roosters around used up precious time so I formulated a plan. The result was the judges not only awarded old Barack the “No Bell Piece Prize” but they also awarded him the 'Pulletsurprise” as well.
Clearly old Barack was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and hosing them when they weren't paying attention?
Never going to happen. Those agencies work at the behest of the President and nobody else.
