I traveled to Vancouver BC this summer and was told that it’s commonly known as Hongcouver. Maybe Joe heard the same thing.

If a Republican had said that the press would be mocking him now AND two years from now...
Since Binden’s a democrat they won’t even cover it.

was told that its commonly known as Hongcouver. 2005 to 2010 I split my time between SF and Calgary. The Canadians called it that back then on a regular basis.
On the up side though, Albertans also said if there was an election their to join the US as the 51st state, it would be a toss up on the outcome.

More like ten to twenty years from now. We'll never hear the end of "I can see Russia from my house" (which Palin never even said), "potatoe" (the misspelled word was provided to Quayle by a teacher), "nucular", "Mission Accomplished" (which Bush personally did not claim), and "You're doing a great job, Brownie". And then there was the big kerfuffle regarding Palin's comments on Paul Revere.

Boy I can totally expect MSNBC, the Daily Show, HuffPo, and John Oliver to be all over this tonight.
Said no one ever.
