A convicted cop killer spoke to a graduating class at a Vermont college Sunday despite outrage over his invitation, telling the students they should strive to make the world "better."
Mumia Abu-Jamal spoke by video to 20 students receiving bachelor degrees from Goddard College in Plainfield. He earned a degree from the college in 1996.
"Think about the myriad of problems that beset this land and strive to make it better," Abu-Jamal said in the video.
Abu-Jamal's planned speech drew widespread outrage, including from his victim's widow.

Goddard students design their own curriculums with faculty advisers and do not take tests or receive grades.Nuff said.

It’s become increasingly clear to me that I went to the wrong college.

Can you imagine the reaction, if a Sarah Palin, or a Ted Cruz, or someone from the National Organization for Marriage had been invited to be the speaker???? You know there would have been outrage expressed at that.
But a convicted cop killer, one whose case has for some reason become a liberal cause celebre, that’s all okay..........

From the article: “600 students between the ages of 18 and 18”
Reads as though it was written by an eight-year-old.

Oh when I unfortunately lived in New York city, Columbia university every year would invite the President of Iran Ahmadinejad to a dinner where he would give a speech and all the students would be polite and ask him polite questions. Then when a conservative was booked to speak they would utterly flip out. And THESE are the students who end up in government, and then we wonder why the government today is so incredibly effed up, why nobody knows what the hell they are doing and why they support enemies of the USA. Obama is a prime example of that, I think he even went to Columbia, and it shows what happens when they are given positions of power - The are just the absolute worst kind of people you could possibly give those kinds of jobs to.

This cop killing piece of trash also gave a commencement speech for Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1999. I live in the next county and last year during a break in jury duty, one of the gals was bragging about what a great school it is, wonderful art classes, etc. I had to interrupt her drivel with the truth and she did not like it one bit.
That fine institution also schooled Rachel Corrie.

Mumia’s going to off himself?
Because one less convicted cop-killer would surely make the world a better place in my view.

Did her graduation speech fall flat, or did she fall flat? :-)

One of the myriad problems of the world is that the esteemed speech giver does not have a .45 cal. hole in his cop murdering forehead.
