As the black flag of the Islamic State (ISIS) rose above the Syrian town of Kobane on Monday, the soldiers of NATO’s second largest army stood and watched only a few hundred metres away.

“We will do everything possible to help the people of Kobane because they are our brothers and sisters,” Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told CNN as the town was close to falling on Monday.

However, they would only do so, he added, if there was a broader military commitment by Turkey’s allies to create a no-fly-zone in northern Syria, a move the United States has so far refused to back.

Just like Russia, watching Germany and Poland during WWII.

With all due respect, Turkey is not sitting on the sidelines.

Turkey has actively engaged ISIS with:

Recruiting
Consular Offices
Transport
Ingress and Egress
Medical Facilities
Trucks
Transit for Benghazi weaponry from 0bama

So, you see, Turkey has not been on the sidelines. Methinks they’re hoping to be the seat of the next Caliphate, like they were for the last Caliphate (Ottoman Empire).

Connect the dots... Turkey will not bother to support their Kurdish areas since the Kurds have long sought an independent Kurdistan which would encompass Turkish territory! They will sit on their hands until massively threatened by ISIS (which WILL come in the future!} By that time, it will be too late!

Turkey’s leadership’s in bed with ISIS...they won’t fight them. They’ll welcome them when the time comes.

There was a UK Daily Mail article with photos of around a dozen or more Turkish tanks, US M-48s or M-60s, right at the border with Kobane. From what I understand they are there to keep the Kurds from entering Turkey.

Very important point everyone seems to be ignoring. The Turks hate the Kurds almost as much as they hated the Armenians. If ISIS kills them all, its better for Turkey’s territorial integrity. Oibola of course supports the Caliph too.

From the reports I have read there is going to be a slaughter of civilians in Kobane if ISIS succceeds. A genocide of the Kurds if you will.

I think this is what Obama wants as he has virtually provided no arms for the Kurds. Only the occaisional bombing. In fact he may be working with Turkey on this behind the scenes. Obama has blood on his hands. A lot of it.

Because 0bama, ISIS, Liberals and Turkey all have one goal:

The Destruction of Western Civilization.

There was a great deal of opposition to Turkey entering NATO when they did... Now, with Turkey tilting Fundamentalist Muslim and, having purged their senior military leadership of Western leaning officers, those who opposed their NATO entry views are being vindicated!!!

They have no chance of actually accomplishing that unless we invite them into our lands.

Meanwhile, they are spending a lot of time, energy, money and blood killing other Muslims. We should get out of their way on that front.

The only reason Turkey gets away with sitting on the sidelines, is that the rest of the NATO members are silent about its inaction. All NATO members have large numbers of Muslim populations.

NATO cannot depend on Turkey’s reliability in its fight against Islam because ISIS is Islamic.

Isil advance: Watch live coverage of Turkey’s border with Syria near embattled Kobane

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/islamic-state/11146251/Isil-advance-Watch-live-coverage-of-the-Turkey-border-with-Syria-near-embattled-Kobane.html

> Speaking at a news conference with French President Francois Hollande, Erdogan said, “We’re only talking about Kobane, a city on the Turkish border where there is almost no one left besides 2,000 fighters.” “It’s difficult to understand this approach: why are coalition forces continually bombarding Kobane? Why don’t the coalition forces want to act in other zones?” Erdogan said. The peshmerga deployment, accompanied by 50 members of the Free Syrian Army, was condemned by Syria’s government as an act of Turkish aggression and a “blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty.”

> Fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant have shelled the border crossing between Syria and Turkey in their latest attempt to stop an expected arrival of Kurdish troops from Iraq to help defend Kobane. Friday’s bombardment of the Mursitpinar post came a day after a first contingent of Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga forces entered the Syrian town of Kobane from Turkey to join the effort to break an ISIL siege.

FSA has 400 fighters in Kobane, more to come: commander — Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told the BBC earlier this week that Ankara wants the FSA to control Kobane if IS defeated, and not the Kurdish forces loyal to the YPG.
