The first federal prosecutor to probe the financial dealings of Bill and Hillary Clinton says he was poised to bring high-profile indictments against top Arkansas political and business figures — based in part on testimony from a chief witness against the then president — when he was abruptly replaced by a panel of federal judges, throwing his investigation into turmoil.
"I was angry, frustrated and above all disappointed that I was not going to be able to carry through and finish bringing the indictments," writes Robert Fiske, a former U.S. attorney who served as the original independent counsel in charge of the Whitewater investigation, in a forthcoming memoir, "Prosecutor Defender Counselor."
"The simplest way to put it, after I was replaced, the lawyers on the staff in Arkansas said the agents for the FBI and IRS were totally demoralized," Fiske said in the Yahoo News interview. "They thought we were on the brink of doing all these great things, and now that was not going to happen."

I think that’s how I found Free Republic as a link from Drudge during those days. Couldn’t believe some of the stuff I read. I’ll give Obama credit though. He makes Bubba look like a chior boy.
A lawyer speaks in tongues, as do the court ... English and Latin .. bi-lingual foreign language ... make that foreign DEAD language speakers.
These guys say things and do things that we, the people could/would do if we had that dead language education.
Now ... if we want to sue somebody or prosecute somebody for a crime or wrong doing ... we call a lawyer ... 'cause he knows a dead language and etc., etc.
So ... with about a third of Congress being card carrying, dead language speaking lawyers .... How come we can't get criminals prosecuted in politics ???

Since my next birthday is #60, I was there, too, but not on FR yet. From my perspective, everything old coming around again is just piling on with the aging process. LOL, indeed...:-)

Thank you. I started the list around the time the blue dress made the scene. It is probably not complete, but it would be a good start if it were possible to charge them both with all the crimes and sentence them to at least 6 months for each offense. Yes, I dream.
My take away after reading this is the author and Fiske are painting conservatives as blithering idiots. He states nothing could be tied to the Clintons and Vince Foster absolutely committed suicide. This does nothing to take Hitlery out.

And what I don’t get is that I thought the Whitewater investigation was taken over by Ken Starr.
I can’t imagine Starr not launching those prosecutions if there was good evidence.
This smells like BS. Either Fiske is lying about having prosecutions ready, or his “demoralized” lawyers deliberately sabotaged Starr out of spite for Fiske’s replacement
