the only problem is, if Huck or another conservative runs for president as an independent or 3rd party, it just guarantees that a Democrat, probably Hillary, becomes the next president.

Conservatives need to stay in the Republican party, in my opinion, and work to change the party from within. Liberals did that to make the Democrat party increasingly liberal.

This is part of an old debate with no resolution, namely, do we want ideology purity, or do we want to win elections? Are the two mutually exclusive?

At the risk of being trashed I support anybody that is willing to do this. I am warming up to Mike Huckabee

I have been leery of him a bit in the past, did not think he was all that Conservative as Gov of Arkansas

if nothing else he may force others to stand up for Christian family values

He would be a heck of a lot better than Mitt Romney, John McCain or probably Jeb Bush, I think Jeb will run quite moderately.
