Huelskamp criticized for opposition to same-sex marriage

The Human Rights Campaign on Tuesday inducted U.S. Rep. Tim Huelskamp into a select group composed of members of Congress who aggressively oppose same-sex marriage and other reforms sought by lesbians and gays.

Huelskamp, a Kansas Republican seeking re-election in the 1st District, was in the introductory class with 14 members of the House and five from the Senate. All but one was a Republican, but no other member of the Kansas congressional delegation was included.

“Rep. Huelskamp has gone out of his way to oppose steps toward equal protection under the law or to protect LGBT Americans from violence, discrimination and harassment,” said David Stacy, the organization’s government affairs director. “He proactively works to undermine existing legal protections and promote anti-LGBT discrimination.”

The listing was published after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision Monday not to accept same-sex marriage appeals. On Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled as unconstitutional the prohibitions on same-sex marriage in Idaho and Nevada.

Huelskamp denounced the Supreme Court for missing an opportunity to reject lower court rulings that declared the marriage bans a violation of equal protection provisions of the U.S. Constitution.

“The only alternative to allowing these unelected liberal judges to impose their morality on all of America is to pass a constitutional amendment,” Huelskamp said. “To that end, last year I introduced the Marriage Protection Amendment to define marriage as only between one man and one woman.”

Huelskamp was in the Kansas Legislature when voters approved an amendment to the Kansas Constitution prohibiting gay marriage in the state.

"No one justice — no one court — no elite judicial activists should be permitted to redefine or undefine marriage to suit their distaste for traditional marriage," the congressman said.

The Human Rights Campaign, based in Washington, D.C., pointed to Huelskamp’s previous endorsement of the Federal Marriage Amendment and the Military Religious Freedom Protection Act. The organization criticized Huelskamp for leading recent opposition to a measure providing equal benefits to the nation’s same-sex married veterans.

The list released by the Human Rights Campaign — referred to as a Hall of Shame — was derived from an analysis of voting records, sponsorship of legislation and public statements.

“I stand by my record and I stand with the overwhelming majority of Kansans who support our values,” Huelskamp said. “No one should take seriously a press release from a radical group who opposes allowing our brave soldiers to practice their First Amendment rights and rabidly attack Catholics and any other religious group with whom they disagree.”

Others in the Human Rights Campaign's inaugural class: Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.; Louie Gohmert, Randy Neugebauer and Randy Weber, R-Texas; Andy Harris, R-Md.; Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; Walter Jones, R-N.C.; Mike Kelly, R-Pa.; Steve King, R-Iowa; Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif.; Mike McIntyre, D-N.C.; Tim Walberg, R-Mich.; and Steve Pearce, R-N.M.

In the Senate, the members are Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Michael Enzi, R-Wyo.; James Inhofe, R-Okla.; Mike Lee, R-Utah; and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.

The Human Rights Campaign is a flaming far left homosexual organization. They want to force hedonism, degeneracy, STD on everyone. Their supporters are child abusers and rapist. How about we compile a list of all their members and publish their names and addresses?

It’s about a devilish lust.

The thing that made it possible was the hollowing out of supposedly holy matrimony, a scandal that went on for many decades before anyone seriously gave a thought to so called “gay marriage.”

Yet as long as the “gays” stayed in the closet, people were pretending all was well. We might almost thank the “gays” for holding a mirror up to the farce that we moderns were calling marriage.

A return is only going to happen when individual people return to God, and not even having church services in the White House and on Capitol Hill and in the Supreme Court chambers would bring that about. If God is not personally invited into lives, the devil is.

Any federal politician who isn’t on the HRC’s Hall of Shame is probably a worthless hack who deserves a criminal punishment. Did they forget to include any upstanding congressmen in their list?

Equal protection? Before homosexuals sued, everyone could get married. Now, everyone can still get married, and homosexuals can call their hookups married as well. Guess the same laws applying to everyone wasn’t equal enough for them.

The proper term is “abomination”. G-d HATES it. If the entire government doesn’t like that fact tooooo bad! It will inevitably bring forth death. Death! See the irrational, suicidal affinity the radical left has for Islam? They both harbor contempt for the G-d of Israel and his Torah, the source of living waters. And they both love death.

God bless the good Congressman, and a curse on those who would pervert what is righteous and call it “good”!
