I know that’s a tempting line of thought.

My guess is that in time when this isn’t such a raw issue most people won’t even notice or be able to remember when it wasn’t this way.
If you remember the opening program of the Olympics when they were in China - you can see why.
The Chinese culture, tho not without it problems, is one of the strongest in the world regarding sacrifice, willingness to work hard, discipline that there is. They respect their elders, women are respectful of men, and they work as teams better than perhaps any culture. In spite of years of Communism, their culture is not depraved and without character like the West.
Read the plan of the Communists in the ‘60’s to destroy our nation - and you will find few of these now-present elements of our culture in their culture. It was designed for the destruction of a nation - not the maintaining of one. We (the West) have bought into all the lies while the Chinese themselves have rejected almost all of them. Families, tho limited in size, are still intact.
All of these things add up to our culture collapsing - and the Chinese becoming dominant.
It’s ok. God sees and knows it all, and still reigns.......and will rule righteously in the end......
I agree, somehow SCOTUS has been compromised. Wish I could search for links about that. They need a search engine where you can type in a question, & get links that answer that question in response.
Do you think SCOTUS planned it that way, knowing state SSM bans are legal? My only problem with this theory is what kind of reaction would happen when SCOTUS declares them legal?

I think SCOTUS decided not to do anything and see what happens, knowing of course what would happen.
It opened the door for more same sex marriage licenses to be issued.
Most states won’t appeal.
I think it eventually goes before SCOTUS and same sex marriage will be upheld because by then it will considered settled.
They won’t null & void already existing marriages.
Same sex marriage is going to be the law of the land.
Obamacare is going to be the law of the land.
As soon as the immigration reform lobby has the horses to swing that, it will also be the law of the land.

Ill call that bluff...its what he and others like him are counting on.
Doubt it would happen. It's not like the 1950s, where most of the country (and even many secretly in the South) already accepted that blacks should have equal civil rights.
Here, it's not even a matter of "civil rights." The gay agenda is not at all like the black struggle for civil rights, and most people know this and recognise the arguments along that line as bogus. In this case, it's just a tiny minority who already had full and complete civil rights trying to demand special rights while bullying other people and using the courts to do an end run around the will of the majority of people in this country. If Obama did try to use the military in such a case as this, don't expect it to go nearly as well for him as it did for Eisenhower with school integration.
