That’s why I don’t care if the pubs take over the Senate or not - if they do they’ll just meander down the road to hell a little slower than the rats.

Re: “Republicans should be taking this issue and making it a national referendum issue”

How?

Our Congressional leadership and most of our 2016 presidential candidates SUPPORT Amnesty!

I would not believe one word they had to say on the subject.

I believe that the progressive/socialist have infiltrated the republican party.

What better way to bring down the conservative agenda than to get on the inside.

Republican politicians are doing exactly what all politicians do...they follow the voters!

Anyhow, since the GOP is no good, what other WINNING alternatives do you suggest?

Don’t give me 3rd party as solution. They have never won any national elections.

Politically, for Conservatives, legal immigration is far more destructive than illegal immigration.

In 2013, we created 750,000 new immigrant citizens.

80% of them will vote for the Democrat Party.

And yet, right here at Free Republic, at least half of the comments support that politically insane level of legal immigration.

Never doubt a Republicans ability to blown a lay-up.

Scott Brown in NH is running pro abortion pro planned parenthood ads as a way to fire up the base. Lol.

It’s as stupid as nominating Mutt Romney, the grandfather of Obamacare, for President.

GOP-E wants amnesty too, so why should they run against it?

Republicans are the stupid party for not securing the border when they had control of the House the Senate and the White House.

I heard the traitors at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are funding 33 republican Senate races this fall.

If this is true, it would explain why we don’t hear jack squat about amnesty from sitting republicans running for re-election or GOP challengers for the current democrat held seats.

One of the largest contributors to the GOP is the agribusiness PACs. That is why the GOP in all onboard for open borders.

This issue is why I am supporting Dennis Michael Lynch. I suggest you check him out.

Even after all of Obama lies and offenses, Pat Caddell continues to call himself a Democrat. Until he changes that desgnation to GOP, Independant or Libertarian, I will always wonder what percent of his message is that of a Concern Troll.

They don’t want to seem to critical, lest they appear like hypocrites when they or their party embraces amnesty later.

We don’t have to run against it; the US population is already against it. Sometimes you just sit back and shut up. It looks like Baghdad will fall before the election (at least more heads will roll). Losing a war just before an election is a great October surprise.

The Republican’s won’t run against amnesty because the leadership supports it.

It’s the same reason Obama won reelection because the biggest issue was taken off the table,Obamacare,by the idiot Romney.
So the Republicans will lose because they are democrat lite

“He speculated that Republicans have not made executive amnesty an issue because “they have a lot of donors, and a lot of their lobbyists telling them they want this.” — This is the key as to why. GOPe is not conservative nor does it believe in law and order any more.

The political elites running the Republican party are stupid, and the rank and file members are going to get pissed off one of these days and quit.

Their consultants care more about spending campaign money than winning. GOP priorities are all about commissions.

They're chumps.

He’s right.

If people realized how much this costs society and how much it impacts wages at the bottom half of the scale, they’d certainly be a lot more pissed. I’m guessing my master carpenter brother would be making $40-50/hour instead of the $25-30/hour he currenty commands.
