The Seattle City Council has voted unanimously to celebrate “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” on the same day as Columbus Day, the federally recognized holiday, reports the Associated Press (AP). According to the AP report, the resolution that passed on Monday declares “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” the second Monday of October and intends to honor the contributions and culture of Native Americans and the indigenous community in Seattle. Supporters of the action said it will recognize the rich history of people who have inhabited the area for hundreds of years. "This action will allow us to bring into current present day our valuable and rich history, and it's there for future generations to learn," said Fawn Sharp, president of the Quinault Indian Nation on the Olympic Peninsula, and president of the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians.

Pretty lame move. If they were really sincere, they would cede all of the land now occupied by the city of Seattle back to the ‘Indigenous Peoples’.
This means that it is no longer a Federal holiday. All those ***holes in Seattle need to get their butts to work tomorrow. The Feds don’t have an “indigenous people’s day”.
I grew up in Seattle in the 60’s and 70’s, a great conservative town. It slowly became kalifornicated soon thereafter when the Fawns etal. moved in...***SIGH***
Everyone who thinks so called native americans were always here are too stupid to waste time explaining facts.
They should use May 1st (May Day) to denounce all of the murder committed in the name of Communism.

To properly celebrate the lifestyle of the 'Indigenous Peoples’ they should ban the use of the wheel and anything made of metal.
They should also require everyone to kill and prepare their own food for the day.
They may just do that to celebrate Communism.

If people think Colombus is so attrocious think about what you would do if you went out on a voyage where your creditors pretty much would have you beheaded if you didn’t come back with some payment.
Has anyone ever asked the “indigenous people” what they think of Colombus? I notice they certainly don’t mind the white man’s way of life. Don’t see many of em in teepees or loincloths anymore.
O.K. Christian Europe: universities, orphanages, hospitals, Euclid, Cathedrals, realistic art and on and on and on. Indigenous peoples: Tee Pees, kivas, medicine men, and on and on.
Do the City Council PC fools want to live like the Indigenous? Do the Indigenous want to do the same, reject the European White educations and technology and the religion from which it came, including the white tainted paycheck?
