So it’s not a mandate, just a suggestion (rolling eyes)

What a lying POS. Using the term “gender identity training” shows exactly what this is all about.
Get government out of education at all levels before this country is completely destroyed.

So, I would like to identify myself as a girl, age 17, and use their locker room at the local high school. Why wouldn’t that be OK?

The majority of government school teachers/ administrators have totally bought into the “progressive” la-la land idiocy. They tend to be the dumbest people who have bamboozled all too many people into thinking that they are the best and brightest.

Sister Mary Elephant: Class, Class, Class, SHUT UP!!!! Thank you.
There's the accepted gender neutral method used for two centuries in the USA. But no Mr Enlightened PC Education never thought of using "class" LOL.

about how teachers could reach all students in their classrooms
Really??? My teachers never had much trouble. At worst it was “Attention, class.” And “boys and girls”...that covers everyone,...no matter what they think they are.
What a huge sack of bull patties this guy is passing out.

Why do schools need gender identity training in the first place????
Seems to me that all this “gay” and “trans” whatever stuff, if it troubles young people, should be dealt with after they are adults and out of school. I see no need for schools to have any policy at all on this.
I know its a cliche but back in my day schools didn’t bend over backwards to accomodate and teach about homosexuality and sexual problems.

Bottom line: We don’t want a freak to feel like a freak.
Very soon, we’ll be helping teenagers to commit suicide so they don’t feel badly about it.

It's my understanding that the goal was to make sure they were including everyone.
So......after you've identified boys and girls, what's left out?

after you've identified boys and girls, what's left out? I read an article on FR about how Facebook has 47 (??IIRC) different ways of identifying gender.
Made me glad that I don't use Facebook.

I made a mistake. After posting, I checked.
Facebook actually identifies 51 separate ways of ID'ing gender.
My bad.
(shaking head sadly) Actually, I wish that I didn't know this.
