I saw Obama for what he was when he debated Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden during the primaries. My conclusion was that he did not like America and that he did not have a chance to win.
I was wrong. When he was elected, I thought there would be responsible people around who would stop him. I was wrong. I thought the American people had learned a lesson during his first four years. I was wrong. When Ebola broke out, I thought there would be a crescendo and outcry to quarantine the affected African countries. I was wrong. I could go on forever. I never thought that just one man would be allowed to destroy the greatest country in world history—by its own citizens and elected representatives.
At best, they could begin the process of a turnaround. And I hope one of them wins. Because as long as the country is filled with leftist dems and republicans willing to elect and reelect liberals into that party, nothing really changes.
The problem is indeed that we get the government that represents us. Or more accurately, most of us.
My wife asked me why I was so concerned and upset. I told her because I believed Obama was going to be elected, and I told her specifically that things will then go downhill very, very quickly, as in apocalypticly downhill.
