The second nurse, Amber Vinson, took a commercial flight from Cleveland to Dallas while she was potentially contagious. Vinson, like Pham before her, was on the hospital's "self monitoring" program. Essentially, workers who provided care to the patient have been instructed to monitor themselves for symptoms, use their best judgment to decide when those symptoms are serious, and report themselves to the hospital.
This is the process which the CDC and the press have been bragging took only 90 minutes in Pham's case. But that number is meaningless, as it is only how long it took from when she decided she was sick to when they put her in isolation. It is not an indicator of how long she was infected (obviously, since she became infected while at the hospital caring for the patient), nor is it an indicator of how long she was contagious.
There are many other workers who likewise provided care to Duncan. CDC Director Thomas Frieden has said twice this week that we should be prepared to see more cases of Ebola turn up in Dallas. That they won't be surprised to see them. Another way to say that is, they expect to see them. If the CDC is sure there were protocol breaches, and there were two cases already, one would think that it would be natural to actively monitor the remaining health care workers.
Truth Revolt reached out to the hospital multiple times on Wednesday to determine whether the remaining patients were, in fact, left on a self-reporting basis. At the time of this article, despite more than one conversation, the hospital cannot or will not comment on how the remaining primary care providers are being monitored.

“According to the government spokesperson, when Vinson called in, the staff she talked with looked on the CDC website for guidance. At the time, the category for “uncertain risk” had guidance saying that a person could fly commercially if they did not meet the threshold of a temperature of 100.4.
CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden had said earlier Wednesday on a phone press briefing that Vinson “should not have traveled on a commercial aircraft.”
I wondering about those guys from the clean-up crew who power-washed the colossal amount of vomit off the sidewalk.

I am watching CNN. The medical reporter said when she asked why index patient Duncan was not admitted when he first came to the hospital, they wrote back and said, “That is just navel gazing. “
On Kelly on FOX just now..
the nurse had a temperature but she was told it was OK to travel..
she was sick BEFORE she travelled on the plane
Me, too!!!!!

She was sick before or on October 8 a week ago when Duncan died or the last time she tended to him..
By Friday 2 days after he died she had a fever etc so it could have been earlier than Oct 8...

but she and Obama could have taken the bus together..
You were supposed to forget about that, citizen!
Great point! It would be nice if there was a reporter who would ask Frieden that question: “She shouldn’t have flown. Would it have been okay for her and Obama to ride a bus together?”
Now second nurse caring for this lying low life has taken a flight to cleveland with 143 passengers. Here is the problem, none of these people are being quarentined, none! But zippy the a##clown sez we will send response teams where ever there is an outbreak. They want this to happen so bad
apparently she asked the CDC and they told her she COULD travel...
I blinked.
“We have top men working on it right now.”
“Who?”
“Top... men.”
I can get you a deal on Ray-Bans.
