Seats in which the top GOP Senate Strategist is confident the GOP will win:
Montana, W.Virginia, Louisiana, Alaska, Colorado, Iowa and all seats where GOP incumbents are running.
He's very iffy about Georgia and South Dakota (which for months was thought to be a "given" for the GOP) and was non-committal on Arkansas and North Carolina.

In a sane and educated country it would go 100 R to 0 D. Unfortunately this is NOT a sane country or anything close to it.

GOP will not win the Senate and will lose House seats.

If we lose GA, we are in deep doo-doo. Then we can still afford to lose NC but we will have to win SD or Arkansas. And, I’m not ready to say that either of those are a “definite” right now.

I’d say thinking that this is going to be a “wave” election is out the window. I predict that we will win the Senate Majority, but it will be by a margin of 1 or 2 seats. And with GA and LA having Run-off Elections, I am not as certain as the GOP Strategist that it will be decided on Election Night.

How will things be different from today if the GOP does indeed take the Senate and retains the House?

The question should be not IF but HOW BIG.

Instead the reality is IF.

The GOP should be walking away with a midterm sweep. But they’ll lucky to win at all.

Why is that?

I’m not that confident. We have two nothing burgers running agains’t each other in Georgia. The GOP nothing burger is running a more lackluster campaign than the Dem nothing burger. Thank God for the Libertarian candidate who will hopefully siphon off enough votes to keep Michelle Nunn under 50% and force a runoff. Even David Perdue will likely be able to drag himself over the finish line in a runoff.

The GOP will win because of the anti-Obama wave, not because of any love for them

Likely scenario, win the Senate in a squeaker. Softy pubs in the Senate do nothing. Obama and other dems blame all the problems of the country on the do nothing republicans and then they win white house, and both legislative houses in 2016.

Good scenario, people wake up for a few years and we get some sanity back.

Best scenario, ebola mutates to kill only lawyers and sweeps across the country. By the year 2020, tax law fits on the back of the single tax form which is a mail in postcard. Due to the massive die off of lawyers, the cost of everything goes down by 20% and small businesses take off like wild fire.

And if they win the seats, to what purpose?

Oh, thats right, that will be the day the oceans recede and the climate stills.
