Troops in Africa — Worst military plan of the century.

[My own estimation as radio listener and military history enthusiast.]

Congressman Gomert on Glenn Beck Thursday said that our troops out in Africa are UNARMED. A member of Hannity’s team later provided more disturbing first-hand information. They are quartered in apartments, and eating at DINERS.

o o o o

What I gather from this information:

This indicates that the planning of this operation was poorly planned.

— A single poacher in Africa could have a field day with our men, shooting them one-by-one at leisure until grappled down.

— Their living quarters are completely unacceptable. Without a proper camp, they are vulnerable to malaria as well as other local diseases.

— As the Hannity team member pointed out, the food grown in these areas is fertilized with human dung. This is not only an ebola hazard, but also a danger of countless diseases.

— Casual contact with potential ebola patients is ridiculously high in this situation.

Congressman Gomert added somberly that the only thing these forces are armed with is surgical gloves and surgical masks.

This is the most poorly planned military operation of the century, perhaps the worst in US history. They are scrambling to rush supplies after-the-fact. If it was actually the result of a Pentagon contingency plan, high ranking officers should be demoted to ‘private’ as a result. It is now too late to ‘fix’ it. The damage is done, and the best thing we can do now is send them weapons [with ammo — must be specific these days], RATIONS, serious protective gear, basic equipment, and most importantly — prayers are needed for these heroes. I doubt being a pioneering astronaut is any more terrifying than what these troops are experiencing.

[I admit that my reporting as a talk-radio listener is imperfect, but I tried to be careful about the facts.]

The main criminals objective here is for them to contract the virus and bring it home to their families

That’s more training than the nurses in Dallas got.

Funny how those who tell us it’s great to send the military, because of their expertise, don’t touch this one which explains why many of us are concerned - this administration will not follow protocol any more than the CDC even knows what its own protocol is supposed to be.

I would rather take my chances with a court martian and risk some time in Portsmouth than go to a place where there is a good chance I would be infected with a deadly disease.

Pray tell, what is a court martian?

It’s sort of like a court jester. Only green. With antennae.

First we should be sending each and every one of these soldiers to the Program B, TERT course at FEMAs Anniston training facility.

That course, in and of itself, is a 4 day curriculum.

Secondly, hands on providers should be selected from those already trained and certified to perform their tasks while suited up. Any training for these folks should be refresher training, not initial training.

We have the people who know how to operate in this kind of environment, we have the training capacity to keep them operating safely, and yet we have this on the fly reaction that seems to me is ignoring all of that for the appearance of speed.

It’s almost as if Obama is at war with this country. This is why I say America needs a Pinochet. Even if I were there fascist thug that Obama is, I would not provoke the military. He treats them like excrement.

What? You mean you haven’t heard? The martians have landed, and it’s all Bush’s fault.

So gimme a break, huh? Court martial and not a martian court.

I did a news search, and the latest story I could find regarding Benghazi is from Sept 24th. Is nothing being done about this? What about the IRS scandal? VA scandal?

Obama signed a mobilization of the IRR on Oct 16 and I cannot find anything about it other than the order posted on whitehouse.gov
