But but but Juan McCain and Tokyo Rove have been telling us Republicans can never win over the Spanish American vote unless we open our borders and grant amnesty to this who are in the US illegally already - were they wrong?

Well, we’ll see how long the “separation” lasts between many Hispanics and the Democrat Party. Will there be a re-uniting or a divorce?

If Hispanics really turn against the Dems , will the Dems change their attitude toward illegals?

Never could understand why Hispanics or even Blacks were generally registered as democrats... I guess it is the definition of insanity though! In the past 20 years my neighborhood in Phoenix has changed into little Mexico in front of my eyes. But that said, I have great neighbors and I love Mexican food. For the most part, my Hispanic neighbors keep their houses up better and are much harder workers than many Americans I know. Every day about 10am the lady next door is dumping her mop water... she keeps a spotless house. Most all the neighbors I have talked too, Claim they are here legally, most are native Arizonans, and speak English as good as anybody does... they consider themselves Chicano (as I am told it means Mexican heritage, born in America) one admitted to getting legal under amnesty 1.0 years ago, after being brought here at a young age. But that said, every single one I have talked to and asked, are FOR sealing up the borders and making all immigrants follow the same rules and come to America legally. By a large percentage, they are mostly very religious Catholics and Conservative, I mean just by sheer household numbers, I cant believe many Hispanics have abortions... I just can’t understand what issue keeps them voting for Liberal Democrats...

My son is dating a wonderful girl from Peru who is working hard to earn an American citizenship.
She is furious of these leaches coming here illegally.
Do it the legal and right way she says.
Huh,
Imagine that.

Getting a bit difficult to round up the Hispanics onto the Democrat Plantation - ehhh.

But the Democrats BETTER HURRY. Their huge base of FDR/JFK Democrats, the ones that could never, ever, vote Republican, and would continue to vote Democrat, even under threat of having to watch their children being raped and tortured - those Democrats are quickly dieing off. The black vote isn’t getting any better for them either, as the Democrats are too busy aborting black kids to see how it’s hurting them demographically.

The newer Democrats, including Hispanics, don’t have that blind attachment the above groups have. For the kids, they’ll vote for Rand Paul in a heartbeat, as he speaks their language regarding Internet privacy and drones. For Hispanics, they see the decadence of the Democrats today with regard to social issues and how they attack small businesses, and they will vote Republican as long as Republicans are careful not to stick their feet in their mouths...as they always seem to do.

For Hispanics, and polls show this, BORDER SECURITY works with them. They DO NOT like open borders - they know what’s down there and prefer to keep it there. They connect with conservatives on that issue. Regarding Amnesty and what to do with the ones here...we do have a divide - they prefer to see them be allowed to stay here, while conservatives (me included) prefer to see them go home. But Hispanics do not stick Amnesty at the top of their list and will pretty much tolerate conservative positions on the issue, as long as we don’t use derogatory language and threaten to round them up in public. All we need to do is slowly make life uncomfortable for Illegals (by taking away the goodies) and they’ll start packing their bags.

Don’t believe this for a second. Hispanics remain 75 percent Democrat and even more in some select places.

Entering into a post Obama election era should prove to be very interesting indeed...

Obviously minorities saw Obama as the great hope to give them a greater voice...2008 was euphoria for them, 2012 was, Ok everybody gets a second chance...

Since pretty much every economic indicator shows minorities are worst off today than in 2008 the kool-aid they have been drinking must be getting pretty stale...

Democrats slowly are losing the locked in vote of minorities...

I think many will stay home rather than vote GOP...thinking "why vote it really doesn't matter after all"

That's why it so important for the GOP to reach out to the minorities communities with conservative ideas and concepts, not liberal light...

Given their family values, religious values and work ethic, I’ve never understood how Hispanics or modern Jews could align themselves with today’s Democrats.

Adios Democrats! Hispanics Bolting Party

I truly hope this is true, because I believe that I am not unique. I am an immigrant from the immediate post-war period, and most, if not all hispanic immigrants from that period are successful, conservative and the best example of the result of totally embracing of the American dream : opportunity grasped with morality, ethics, hard work and self reliance.

That picture has been perverted over the decades, and almost reversed. Now most are illiterate parasites imbued by the worst characteristics of the hispanic culture.

Of course, these latter are neither conservative nor successful. Even professional college graduates gravitate to the parasite occupations, cultivating victims of even second and third generations of so-called Hispanic Americans, which I prefer to call American Hispanics.

I can die with the satisfaction of knowing that my children and grandchildren will live their lives as Americans.

For the curious, no, our first generation of Americans have not fled their culture, but they are Americans first and foremost. I hope that continuity persists.

Of course the current crop of illegals gravitates to the liberals, the democrats, the victim cultivators. But even they, it seems, are finally seeing the futility of the "gimme" culture.
