World Ignores as Hamas Boasts of Continued Tunnel-Digging

The destruction of the widespread Hamas tunnel network was considered a major Israeli achievement of the recent war in Gaza, but the Hamas weekly newspaper Al-Risalah reports that Hamas continues digging tunnels from Gaza into Israel.
A reporter for Al-Risalah claims to have visited an “offensive tunnel”—a term referring to an underground conduit planned to be used in an attack against Israel. Hamas has attacked Israel via tunnels of this nature in the past, either by sending armed terrorists into Israel to target Israelis, or—as in the famous case of Gilad Shalit—by capturing a soldier nearby and abducting him into Gaza. In the space of five days in July, Hamas terrorist groups entered Israel via three different tunnels, killing six IDF soldiers before they themselves were liquidated. …

This makes Ban Ki-moon’s
visit to a terror tunnel last week look like an inspection tour so he can approve more of them. He is evidently so “shocked” that he is insisting on sending more money and material for the purpose of building a larger network and repairing damaged ones.

The Hamas build-up, Israeli smack-down is old news. War every few years is just a release by the pressure valve.
I'm not sure either Israelis or Palis want an end to it.
For sure, there can be no end as long as the Palis demand death to the Israeli state.
Palis are a pathetic opponent to Israel, a much more desirable an opponent than ISIS or the like.
And regional businesses profit from the billions to rebuild after war. Maybe even Israeli ones.
