Exclusive -- Donald Trump to Mitt Romney: Don't Even Think About Running Again
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | October 22, 2014 | Matthew Boyle

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

Real estate mogul and conservative provocateur Donald Trump has a concise, clear message for 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney: You “blew it” in the last election, so don’t even try to run for president again.

“No. I don’t think he should run. He had his chance and he blew it,” Trump told Breitbart News during a phone interview on Tuesday. “He had a great chance of winning. He should have won. That was an election that frankly should have been a much easier election than the probable 2016 candidate Hillary. That was an election that should have been won by the Republicans."

"Whether it was his consultants, I read all different concepts. I’ve read all different views on what happened. But whether it was him or his consultants, he blew it," he continued. "He had a tremendous advantage against a president who had done very poorly and now has done worse, and that was really a race that was easier than beating Hillary.”

Trump said he carried that message—that Romney shouldn’t run again—to Iowa last weekend when he campaigned for and raised funds for Iowa’s Rep. Steve King (R-IA) and his re-election campaign.

“They did close to $100,000 and I’m really happy about that,” Trump said of the King fundraiser. “Steve King is a terrific guy. I got to know Steve when I was in New Hampshire and making a speech. He was there and I love him. He and I just hit it off. He’s someone I respect. He and I have similar views on many different subjects. He’s somebody who really loves the country."(continued)

Get Karl Rove out of our party!!

Oh, I agree.

Seize our party of Reagan— It was and is our party!!

Unfortunately this seems not to be the case — looking at things rather objectively, Reagan was an anomaly the Republican party, which is better personified by Nixon and Bush. (Statists, just like Obama; which is why the Republican party has done jack on things like the IRS-targeting, the NSA's domestic-espionage, Fast & Furious, and every other scandal that's come to light — remember that they control the House, which means the funding at the very least.)

Let those bastards vote third party.

What if we have another Romney pushed on us in any particular race?
Remember that they retroactively changed rules in the primaries to get him nominated, in addition to altering the rules for electors to further cement Romney's chances.

Mitt and McCain have something in common — they don’t want to win.

It's curious that he did so poorly.

It's not like he didn't want the job or that his ego didn't or that he didn't think he was up to it or that his ego didn't think so.

True, he wasn't a strong candidate and it's possible his faith got in the way of some voters and obama's skin color in the way of others, but the do or die, life or death sort of hard ball syndicates play makes me wonder if there wasn't some threat that made him lose enthusiasm.

John Clemens "Jack" Ryan knows something about that.

Another possibility is the GOPe is merely playing the part of the opposition and they win when they lose as much as when they actually win.

Whatever the reason, just like Crash McCain during his presidential campaign, Romney wasn't there for his personal race of a lifetime, either.

And I can't get the psychological math to check. Maybe my abacus needs new batteries, but Romney needs to retire.

I’m with ya’ man. I’d really love to live to see another Reagan style conservative. Someone I could really feel good about supporting. I think the country is ready for that again and needs it badly.

I’m really taking a good look at Ted Cruz and so far so good.

Everyone to Donald Trump: Shut up, already.

Interesting. I gather by that, you want Mitt Romney to run again.

Even more interesting, is that you're new here.

Trump is about as credible as Glenn Beck. Doesn’t matter what he says anymore...I disregard all.

REALLY wanted to be president.

I STRONGLY think that Romney SHOULD NOT run again for POTUS. However, what Trump thinks doesn’t matter. He just happens, in this one instance, to be right.

Folks, don’t start saying good things about Trump. He needs to keep his mouth shut and stay out of GOP politics.

No issue really Windy, since plenty of old freepers said openly they’d vote for him again if he was the nom.

Every day without fail in fact. Because they want a liberal GOP. It’s why they vote to liberalize it every election with increasingly left wing candidates.

Facts suck for them.

That’s not bad either.

Point is, if they foist a democrat-approved RINO on us, we DO have a choice.

Cant stop a write-in wave.

Naw, we gotta run RINOS. Because only ‘moderates’ can win. Didn’t the historic presidency of Bob Dole teach us anything? Who could forger the historic seconf ter of George the 1st? And so far President Romney is on track to have America’s economy fixed by the end of his first term.

Had we wasted our votes on ‘purists’ and third parties I shudder to think what losing would have meant for America!
