Yes let's screw up America by not electing a person 90% conservative and let a 100% LIBERAL win. That will show them...

We need to start from the grassroots and fight the GOPe, not at the ballot box.

MTP Panel is a prime example of the Lib Cloistered Echo Chamber: 2 WaPo reporters, 1 from the NYT, and Tim Russert’s kid Luke inheiriting the NBC reporter slot. Sheesh! What a waste of time!

I’d take a 90% conservative. It is the backstabbing 40-60% who would rather trust their “dear friends across the ailse” than conservatives. In your universe, there would be no Ted Cruz, or Mark Lee becasue they challenged GOPe candidates.

Still worried about Ebola here in the swamps.

Haven't you been listening? There's NO reason to panic. The only thing I've been wondering about is the rat Duncan's "family" with whom he had been living for quite a while even as he was fully symptomatic.

IIRC some really kind person provided temporary housing for them in trailers or something out of town for their quarantine time.

Now the only thing that bothers me is they were quarantined way before the second nurse got sick and then got better after treatment. She was all over the news for getting better (and I'm glad she did!), but unless I've missed it--and I may have, there's been NOTHING about the most exposed people we've heard about so far. Just sayin'.

Not one of your basic Sunday shows, but I watched some of MEDIA BUZZ With Howard Kurtz

Kurtz said that Carol Costello was a great journalist, but needs to apologize on air.

Yes I agree she needs to apologize on air but she is NOT a great journalist, I would say she is not a journalist at all.

I use the term “journalist” as someone who has integrity and states the truth no matter what

God Bless Ben Bradley , but would he really have gotten to the bottom of the IRS scandal? Would he have used his paper to uncover a Democrat scandal??

I understand he retired in 1991, so if that`s really true I guess I cant hold him up for not uncovering Clinton and Obama scandals, but what about the people he has supposedly groomed to search for truth at all costs?

If there are none where is his legacy?

Actually I was referring to your pronunciation of “shot” (pants)...Sounds like something I’d hear around here:

Snowbirds would wear “shot” pants in “Florider”...at a “beah potty”.

"In every one of those races, (Mitch, Graham, Cornyn, Cochran to start). the line should be left blank or conservative written in."

That would get you 2 more years of Harry Reid running the senate. That would get you EVERY liberal kook Obama would appoint to EVERY federal position he wants, trillion dollar APPROVED deficits, 51 vote approvals of everything in the senate with no filibuster by the minority, and more. Doesn't seem like a very good plan, to me.

How condescending! That makes no sense!

Cruz, Lee et al ran in PRIMARIES. That's the place to beat the GOPe--NOT the general election. THAT election elects EITHER GOP or Democrat. No one else has a snowball's chance in Hell.

I'm sorry you cannot see reality when it's there staring you in the face.

Now, do I agree with you that RINO's (spit) infest the Republican party? I do.

Do I agree that they need to be VIGOROUSLY challenged by conservatives in the Primary? Absolutely.

However, let's look at the facts. In the Kentucky Republican primary of 2014, only 26%-that's TWENTY-SIX percent of the registers voters voted in Kentucky in the primary--including all democrat and Republican races. McConnell beat Bevins by 213,000 to 185,000 votes.

WHERE oh WHERE were the conservative/TEA party votes? You mean to tell me that more couldn't have got off their fat, lazy keyboard-typing asses and actually vote? Seriously?

And let me add, wherever a conservative ran against a RINO in the various 2014 primaries the overwhelming results were as bad--low percentages of registered voters voted. In other words, there was no significant number of conservatives voting against their local RINOs. Even in the heavily contested runoff election (not the earlier primary, but the much more publicized runoff of 24 June) in Mississippi between McDaniel and Cochran, ony 50 % of eligible voters voted. In other words, HALF stayed home!!!

I'd really like to know why.

Those who NOW state we have to let the RINOs who beat the conservative back in the primary--even though we didn't bother to vote back THEN--LOSE, because, hey, they're RINOs, lesser of two evils being evil, yada, yada, yada... Cannot explain why we lose the primaries almost every time.

Not all the time--and that's why we do have LEADERS like Cruz and Lee (and don't forget my favorite home Senator, Jeff Sessions, who is running UNOPPOSED).

I really don't understand your philosophy of NOW not voting; I really don't.

In my opinion, conservatives blew it across the fruited plain in the primaries. That such a hotly contested race as McConnell's, or Turtle Man as I call him, had only 26% of registered voters voting, backs me up.

We've just got to get this fixed somehow. We are either a true minority who cannot win, which I do not believe, or we are not walking over broken glass to vote conservative in the primaries. As Bray says, I pray America wakes up!

Well, that's the "Old School" definition of the word. Currently there are very few of that stripe remaining in the US "media".

Nowadays "journalist" = RATagandist.

Yup! Hear Here!

We've just got to get this fixed somehow.

Besides getting the conservative voters hyper-active in the primaries...they also need to take over the GOP County and State Committees and KILL ONCE AND FOR ALL....the so-called "open primary"

Where the RATs elect the RINOs.

While I do understand what you're saying, it still isn't an excuse to not vote. Conservatives of all people should NEVER miss an election. The sorry state of the country today is due to this, IMHO.

If we all voted to a man/woman we'd NEVER lose a single--open or closed--primary.

Agreed, that's why it was my FIRST point:

(getting the conservative voters hyper-active in the primaries)

That is the whole Kaboodle.

Outside this site, in cities and towns everywhere, more than 3 out of four don't even bother to cast a vote.

On the average, only 50% register, and only 50% of them actually vote!

The untapped power is not withholding votes to make a statement, it is in getting the 75% percent of the population to actually get involved.(well, the conservative ones, as least.)

Forgot to add,

The usual response is, "give them someone to vote for."

Sitting out elections in my state because the candidates were lacking has resulted in dems controlling everything from dog pound secretary to governor, and two evil senators did I mention evil?).

Yet, during the primaries, the incumbents and their challengers total votes are I the teens.

In this state, the top two candidates of the primary proceed to the general.

Sending them a message they would not forget is for the incumbent to LOSE in the primary, a feat that could be easily accomplished but simply getting off the duff and voting, in the primary.

All valid points. My issue is ConservAtives are expected to suck it up every november, provide the crucial volunteer got support and then get ignored the day after Election Day. In contrast Gope do not lift a finger to help and in fact offer assistance to democrat candidates vs. supporting conservative. This is cycle where conservatives work just as intently for Rino establishment as they have for conservatives repeatedly in past Objective is to demonstrate days of compromise are over. Everyone knows what has to be done with entitlements and govt spending. Delaying the inevitable cuts and reforms make it worse
