Hmm...I could be wrong (and I often am, LOL) but I don’t think this will come to pass.

There’s been long-running scuttlebutt that Michelle Obama hates life inside the WH and D.C. in general. Granted, a Senator’s role is somewhat different, but she’d still be in the public eye and under scrutiny. It would give her a chance to continue to push her insane lunch requirements, but I don’t know that would be enough. Hillary ran for Senate to build her resume for a WH run. I don’t think Michelle Obama has that ultimate goal in mind.

More importantly, I think Mrs. Obama would find that there are a number of ambitious California Democrats that would sink her in the primaries. One person I think we’ll see run in the wake of a DiFi retirement is Kamala Harris (California’s AG). Harris is a scary leftist - further left on some issues than DiFi -, but she’s a savvy politician. I don’t see Michelle Obama being able to beat her if the two met in a primary.

I think ultimately, Michelle Obama will more likely hit the speaking tour circuit, and/or sit on the board of one or more organizations, collecting a retainer/salary in the process.

Just my gut take, though.

She will not win. This is where the democrats past policies will come back to bite them big time in the future. It will not be long before only Hispanics will hold elected positions in CA. Also, that reality will spread throughout the Southwest and other communities because of the democrat push to flood our communities with illegals. White and black democrats will wake up one day with no chance of winning against a Hispanic candidate. I can see it now, local political ads in Spanish only.....

We need 2 new laws to stomp this out.

1. Term limits. Political office should be a short period of service and should NOT be a career. (Same for a lot of civil service jobs, IMO. No more Lois Lerners.)

2. A “No Dynasty” law. Once someone in a family has held office at the national level, that door needs to close to any parent, child, or spouse. I’m tired of Bushes, Clintons, Kennedys, etc. It is inconceivable to me that a country the size of the U.S. can’t find a qualified and competent person to hold office who is not closely related to a previous politician.

And with what qualifications? Is all it takes to become a senator is to have a name people know? Sheesh.

Being a mealy-mouthed dullard with race-on-the-brain bent on self agrandizement through the siren’s song of socialism, she’d fit right in.

Makes sense. California SHOULD have the first transsexual senator.

I don't think so either.

There’s been long-running scuttlebutt that Michelle Obama hates life inside the WH and D.C. in general.

She got caught up in the enthusiasm of the original campaign but it just seems like she's going through the motions now.

In contrast to Hillary, MO never really showed much interest in a political career earlier in her life, so it's questionable why she would want one now.

I think ultimately, Michelle Obama will more likely hit the speaking tour circuit, and/or sit on the board of one or more organizations, collecting a retainer/salary in the process.

Of course. She'll be on easy street. And she doesn't seem like the sort of person to upset all that with a Senate campaign that could be futile and embarrassing.

She should come to Roger's Burgers in CDA. They have the 44 Caliber Burger - four patties.

If these people cheat their way into wins in the 2014 elections, it will no longer matter who runs for Senate. The US will be totally over.

I think they are going to cheat, so I will not be surprised if they keep the Senate by fraud.

The most depressing part is that nobody will fight back and accept the cheating by anxiously awaiting the next election that won’t matter.

Nothing changes on our side. Maybe it will once they steal every last dime of what we work for.
