The highly sophisticated hacking of Sharyl Attkisson's computers
Fox News ^ | October 28, 2014 | Howard Kurtz

Posted on 10/28/2014 6:06:07 AM PDT by Former Proud Canadian

From the moment that Sharyl Attkisson met a shadowy source I’ll call Big Mac, she was plunged into a nightmare involving mysterious surveillance of her computers.

They met at a McDonald’s in Northern Virginia at the beginning of 2013, and the source (she dubs him Number One) warned her about the threat of government spying. During their next hamburger rendezvous, Big Mac told Attkisson, then a CBS News reporter constantly at odds with the Obama administration, that he was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” by his examination of her computer and that this was “worse than anything Nixon ever did.”

Attkisson’s forthcoming book--“Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction and Intimidation in Obama’s Washington”—reads in part like a spy thriller. Just when you think Attkisson’s imagination might be running away with her comes wave after wave of evidence that both her CBS computer and personal iMac were repeatedly hacked and its files accessed, including one on Benghazi. A consultant hired by CBS reached the same conclusion. Further scrutiny of her personal desktop proves that “the interlopers were able to co-opt my iMac and operate it remotely, as if they were sitting in front of it.” And an inspection revealed that an extra fiber-optics line had been installed in Attkisson’s home without her knowledge.

I don't wish to hijack my own thread but...

I do not understand why the repubs don't insist on a state by state purge of the voting rolls AND voter ID when you vote. I believe every other western democracy does this.

At local and state levels we’re doing fine
Oh yeah, "hooray for me and screw you" - great attitude. Goes hand in glove with the "he ain't conservative" enough mental disease.
In case you hadn't noticed, there's NOWHERE in America doing fine ... unless you're a card carrying member of the Communist party or the Takers of Society.

Reagan was still the best by far.
Really? How many times did Reagan raise taxes? AND who was the last president to sign an Amnesty bill?

That’s what happens when “real” conservatives sit out an election because the GOP candidate wasn’t Ronald Reagan.

No, that’s what happens when don’t have an engaged opposition party. Barack Obama lied to the nation during the Super Bowl interview. Boehner & the GOP never said a single word in response.

We’ve been assaulted and our elected Reps don’t care to defend us. They’ve haven’t done a single substantive thing about any of Obama’s crimes. Nobody in jail, no funding pulled. Nothing.

In spite of what you’re saying (you’re a broken record), he was still the best. Take the positives, subtract the negatives, and he was still the best. People should donate and vote for individual candidates, not the party. We’ve been betrayed by the GOP, and I’d say some of the negative things Reagan did, such as nominating a Bush for VP, was because he was getting his arm twisted by the establishment.

And what have YOU done about it? Who have you called, emailed or got in their face - repeatedly?

>>That's what happens when “real” conservatives sit out an election because the GOP candidate wasn't Ronald Reagan.<<

You have a good point, however I submit that those to blame are in leadership of the RNC and quite possibly those who continue to support liberal candidates election cycle after election cycle.

Fix the candidates! Don't keep hammering on those with principal. Why is it that folks keep drumming conservatives to compromise their principals, yet are unwilling to compromise theirs? Puzzling.

I say, moderates need to come on in for the BIG win. Folks who continually drag liberal/moderate candidates like John McCain, Romney, Christie, Ol Jeb across the finish line ought to take a look at why the GOP keeps losing.

Keep on doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

FIX the candidates if you expect support from conservatives. I myself would like it to break. The march to socialism continues albeit slower with the likes of McCain, but it's still heading toward socialism. Let it break! We will never realize a conservative America with crappy squishy candidates.

Here is a novel idea, how’z bout you moderates begin pulling now for the MOST conservative candidate. Then by late 2015, early 2016 we can run a real leader!

Quit attempting to get conservatives to play YOUR game. Y'all come on in for the big win and help us turn America back red. Screw the purple folks.

Damn, anyone gotta cigarette? That was good...real good. Steppin down off my box.

So RomneyCare, which forces people into an economic transaction against their will, was Constitutional in your opinion?

If RomneyCare was Constitutional in your opinion, could the Government force 100% of your spending into areas of their choice? Why not? It’s Constitutional, right?

Careful waving your pom poms there, you’ll put someone’s eye out.

More accurately, this problem is caused by the moderates and liberals you say we HAVE to vote for not giving a damn about persecution of conservatives and conservative values. Pardon us if we don’t stampede to the voting booth to support that.

We vote to advance conservatism. Not just when it’s convenient, but ALL the time. That’s the reason this website exists, to advance conservatism.

But its easier for you to blame conservatives for their own persecution. Want another bite of that cherry?

It is all relative. With mostly Conservatives in office here, we’re doing well. However, where ever you live if your attitude is one of defeatism, I guess you are defeated. It is difficult work to crush the LIB/DIM/RINO malignancy, but well worth the effort. In the meantime, just whining won’t cut it and is somewhat irritating.

We are too far down that socialist road. We can’t go back.

Suck it up America, there is no returning other than a complete reformation of the Founder’s ideals.

Find those who installed the fiber line.

I'll save you some time, comrade - It was your government.
