With strong support from men, U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner, the Republican challenger in the Colorado U.S. Senate race, leads U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, the Democratic incumbent, 46 - 39 percent among likely voters, with 7 percent for independent candidate Steve Shogan, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Another 7 percent are undecided.
This compares to a 46 - 41 percent likely voter lead for Gardner in an October 24 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University.
With Shogan out of the race, Gardner is up 49 - 41 percent.

LOL!! I wasn’t expecting that!!
Why not?!?! IT’S PAAAAARRRRTTTTTYYYYYY TIME!!!!!!!!!!
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
The Udall radio adds are now running non-stop, suspect the tv adds are doing likewise.
Good. Then it’s possible for Colorado to dump both a Senator and Governor.
The Uterus ads have been running nonstop since June. LoL.
Glen Beck was making fun today of the Cory Gardner bans birth control ad. It was hilarious! I love to see the ad back-firing on the democrats. Now Cory Gardner is a national news name and people all over the country are following what he is doing. Thank you democrats!
The GOP has a majority in the State House and odds are good it’ll take over the State Senate that now has a slim Democratic majority.
Beauprez should find himself working with a friendly legislature in January.
Colorado still has another US Democratic Senator.
I think the fraud threshold this year is about 5%. If this poll is accurate, then the D’s fall short this time ‘round.
Burn in electoral hell, Udall!
Burn in electoral hell, Udall!
Now if we can get rid of the NM udall it will be sweet. Not holding my breath though...
I wouldn’t get too over-confident about the Colorado race. They have instituted a crazy new all-mail-in voting system that is an open invitation for fraud. The system looks like it was designed solely for Democrats to stuff the ballot box.
Naw! A few hundred thousand illegal votes will fix it!
Hickenlooper, Beauprez tied in Denver Post poll
Gardner 46% Udall 44%
Beauprez 46% Hicky 46%
A couple of points in the details.
From the pollsters - "Of those respondents who tell SurveyUSA they have returned a ballot: Gardner leads by 3 points, Beauprez leads by 2 points. If the Democrats fail to return the still outstanding ballots in numbers forecasted here, Republicans will out-perform these poll results."
Oh those assumptions and turnout expectations. The Rs are "out-performing" the Ds big time, and the Unaffiliated are under-performing. Here's how SurveyUSA weighted their poll for the Denver ComPost.
The Denver Post wished numbers: Rs 35%, Ds 32%, Us 33%.
The reality as we know as of today. Rs 41.6%, Ds 32.4%, Us 26%
And it's been steady for the last 16 days since the ballots were mailed. Hicky and Uterus are toast.
Checked those numbers again.
It went back up to double digits of Rs over Ds. The media is getting very interested in the Colorado paper chase.
From Bryon York of the Washington Examiner.
” 42.5% of the total ballots cast now. Democrats are over ten points behind at 32.4%. Unaffiliated sit at 24.9%.”
:0)
This guy can give da Dems direction to where to find them.
And it’s been steady for the last 16 days since the ballots were mailed. Hicky and Uterus are toast.
That’s right. If anything, they will lose a few more points.
Voter fraud won’t be able to overcome Rep. turn out and some Dims will vote Rep. because of Dunlap and gun control and energy/jobs, etc.
Yep, it's been only about 1% to 2% variance up and down.
You may recall, Hicky should've been toast in 2010, but Dan Maes turned out to be scandalous, and then Tom Tancredo jumped into the race to save the governorship. Tancredo spent most of his time going after Maes, and Maes's campaign was almost non-existent.
So we got OBamaLooper who skated into becoming governor. Hicky barely ran a campaign as it was too easy.
However, the combined percentages almost beat Hickenlooper.
Hick's - only 51.01%
Tancredo's (36.43% and Maes's (11.13%) aggregated total was 47.56% of the votes.
Hick's luck has now run out. Buh bye.
Excellent points and a good reminder, too.
That election was a mess. This time Gardner and Beauprez got the strategy exactly right.
Yep, Hick/Uterus Udall are done for.
