Most of us are fortunate enough not to have to make that decision. I’ll leave the stone on the ground.
Yep.
Well said!
re: It’s possible her earlier announcement was a ploy to reduce the media glare at a time when she and her family wanted some privacy.
There was only a media glare because she invited the world into her decision through social media. If she had just wanted to quietly off herself she could have done so and had all the privacy she wanted.
It is disappointing. I’m just hoping she didn’t feel obligated to do this after setting a deadline and telling the world about it. I also hope the pro-suicide people surrounding her (and using her for their cause) didn’t push her to stick close to the deadline.
The pro-death crowd is out in force tonight
Well you have to admit the Death Panels will be great for SocSec and Medicare economics....
At least they will let us watch nice nature videos as we die
A friend died of this in January, I last saw him three days before, in a coma with tubes running everywhere. This woman took the easier path and it’s her decision, can’t blame her at all.
If we’re lucky...but it may be “the collected speeches of Baraq Hussein Obama”
I dont either. She was dealt an awful hand.
My Mother died of brain cancer back in the early '70s. Horrible way to go.
aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are right she was free to choose as she did. But if there are groups such as the Hemlock Society praising suicide as a valid choice shouldn’t Christians have the right to argue against making that choice? Shouldn’t a person have information from opposing viewpoints?
Still, even then, it just seems like suicide of any kind is the ultimate SCREW YOU to God.
Nah. I'd wanna see to the end of the video every time. Does the little warren of bunnies make it through the winter? Does the pack of leopards get that wildebeast or do they miss it?
Sad. RIP.
Brittany did.
I am very fortunate that I have a family that would love me, encourage me and help me to fight to the end. To bad no one wrapped their arms around Ms. Maynard and told her they loved her too much to let her go and would fight with her until the end.
I wonder if Ms. Maynard had anyone in her life who was willing to do that for her?
I have watched 2 close family members die of a horrible disease so I know that which I speak of.
Faith sustained us through those terrible times.
Suicide has always been an option. I wonder if Ms. Maynard would have done it by herself?
I do pray for her. I don’t have all the answers.
That's really not the point, though. She could've made the decision privately. Instead, she decided to allow a pro-suicide group to use her story to advance their agenda.
