With just a few days remaining before the midterm elections, the Democrats are limping to the finish line. We are in the closing days of the 2014 campaign, and in Democratic campaigns across the country, none of the real issues are being discussed. There is no justification for the Democrats to declare there is peace and prosperity, and certainly none of them are promoting a message of hope and change. The Democrats campaigns have been a series of denials, comical disassociation and outright clumsy lies that will only further alienate voters from the political process.
Say what you want to about the Republicans lack of a message, but the Democrats the party in power are clearly exhausted. Starting with the White House, they have nothing affirmative to say, and the final days of campaigning appear to be more about who is to blame rather than how to turn out the vote. In some of the closest races around the country, the Democrats are desperately attempting to hold on to power.
Senator Mary Landrieu is throwing in the towel. She dealt the race and gender cards all in one desperate hand in an interview with NBCs Chuck Todd, where she claimed that the people who elected her in the past have actually been sexist all along. And, she blames racism for the presidents unpopularity in Louisiana not his incompetence, the stagnant economy or the presidents anti-oil and gas agenda that has such a big impact on the state. She appears to be auditioning for a job with the Obama Administration (which wont require her to return to Louisiana anytime soon.) I wonder if she has already whispered to the White House where she would like to serve as an Ambassador.

Well, if you don’t support Ted Cruz the chance to get that position we really don’t have much to talk about.
Sit home and pout. Don’t bother me with it.
Since I'm in Texas, and barely have enough time in the day to study my own state's races, I don't know a whole lot about the folks running in Colorado. Just snippets of info I've gleaned from threads on the forum.
Given only what I know at this moment about the people running, I'd vote for all those opposing the Dems (isn't there an Independent in one race?).
For what it's worth, I have the opportunity to cast a vote for the worthless traitor, John Cornyn (RINO-TX), tomorrow. The man's a fraud and a sell-out of the first order, in my opinion, yet he captured the nomination.
I can't, in good conscience, give him my vote, as I know he's going to go back to Washington and continue twisting the knife in my back. I can't say for sure, but I believe there's a third party guy running, so he may get my vote.
And if you send more people to fight him as you recommend, then what? Should the Air Force have bombed Patton and the Marines called it ‘helpful’?
The only people to blame for losing are the candidate and party.
I don’t see why the DEMs should be worried. There aren’t enough conservatives in the field to vote for. So many conservatives, including a very vocal group on FR, will stay at home tomorrow.
No, conservatives do not stay home. they vote for conservatives somewhere on the ballot. RINOs stay home.
They also lied and cheated in other primaries, especially blatant in Massataxes
Unpossible. Mass is a severely conservative state with our future president in residence....
>> Take my answer and apply it to any state, any race, any election and it is the same.
I get that you have a rule that requires “80% conservatism” or somesuch; if that threshold isn’t cleared, you don’t vote.
But the idea that I, or anyone but you, can apply YOUR rule and determine how YOU would vote in a given race, is absurd.
So again: apply YOUR rules to the Colorado senate race and the Colorado governor race, and explain how you would vote “the Norm Lenhart way” in THOSE SPECIFIC RACES.
Please and thank you.
lol
If you can’t understand what I told you, it’s best to move on to another topic. Because I gave you the answer.
Oh, I'm going to vote, alright. You bet your sweet bippy, I will, and so will my wife.
There are quite a few statewide races that I will crawl over broken glass to register my vote. My choices for U.S. Senate are crap, though. I don't want to willingly give the despicable John Cornyn my precious vote. I think there's a third party guy on the ballot who might get it.
I understand the prevailing thought about what a GOP dominated Senate (and House) will mean for the next two years, but Lucy has pulled that football away from me at the last minute so many times, that I'm mistrustful about what the reigning old bulls will do with their majority. I can just see them failing to do the most basic things to stop Obama's radical agenda, and it hurts me to my soul.
I'm losing faith in the process, Nan. We keep being sold out, but being told that we MUST give them our votes, "or else!"
Jim Talent.
So you have decided to bring your scrotum into the conversation.
Do me a favor and leave your medical issues between yourself and the government.
Now if only we could get you to leave your RINO issues at the RNC instead of FR...
Explain my RINO issues Norm, you seem capable.
Hold up. I just reread your post. Are you new to this whole conservative thing? Because it strikes me that you are unaware of the whole 80% figure and the fact it isn’t ‘my’ personal number pulled clean out of the air like a GOP ‘fact’.
So do you know?
Well you support them no matter what. That’s an issue. You argue in their defense on a conservative site and recommend people vote for them over more conservative people because of ‘primaries’. Then you return to FR after your RINOs go full liberal and complain about it as if it was not a result of your and like voters actions for empowering them.
Then you rail conservatives for not joining you and demand to sit at our table even though you have done nothing to earn it and much to get the whole table punched in the nose by Mitch, called heartless by Rick or any number of other RINOisms they hurl at us bitter clinger types.
For starters. Chew on those a while. Answer in essay form or interpretive dance for extra credit.
I don’t have to do that.
Your simple. Explain what Thom Tillis has done wrong.
You cannot.
Explain why I should reject the election and let Kay Hagan win.
You cannot.
Explain why you or any of your quislings cannot out-smart me?
You cannot.
