Democrats fund these candidates.

We should back the Green Party for the same reason.

Now the GOP needs to offer the libertarian weasel more money than the dems offer him and Gillespie is elected senator. Problem solved.

I remember when Nader got like 90,000 votes IIRC in Florida in 2000.
A reporter asked him if he cost Al Gore the election in FL.
He didn’t miss a beat and said “Al Gore cost me the election in Florida.”
So funny!
Yea we definitely need Green Party candidates if they are going to run fake libertarians.

Yeah, it’s the Libertarian’s fault that the GOPe fields lousy candidates. Kill them all!

I think the show’s about over for tonight. MSNBC is pretty much done with election results and rather than show any self-awareness of the magnitude of the nationwide referendum on Obama and big government, is roundly condemning Ted Cruz with the usual slurs: “mccarthyite”, “obstructionist”, “worst in the Senate”, etc.

Ed should have run a better campaign. VA is mostly RAT country now in the northen counties. Ed should and probably will call for a recount. VA is full of voter fraud with all the DC lib government employees living there.

Not the case in VA. The republicans had a good candidate. And if it was a GOPe, he would have had all the money he needed.

Libertarian cost republicans this seat. Warner is back in the senate for the next six years.

[The] Libertarian cost republicans this seat.

Absolute nonsense.

The Republican party had every opportunity to pour money into the Gillespie campaign, and instead they hung him out to dry.

With any semblance of financial support from the GOP, Gillespie could have won this race.

And Sarvis isn’t really a libertarian. He’s a LINO who has been well paid by the Democrats to swing two elections in two years into their column — assuming the Warner lead holds.

Would they have voted Republican if Sarvis wasn’t there? Or would they’ve voted Democrat?

Gillespie wasn’t a lousy candidate. He was a good one. The proof is in the pudding. He almost won. It was the damned Libertarian that ruined his winning it outright. No getting around it. Fools.

With Mc Auliffe in there, and the Clinton’s multi billion $ s isn’t it the latest Illinois?

If they want to run a third P candidate who will do what he’s told, wouldn’t they just do it?

Being called a McCarthyite is high praise as I see it. Senator Joseph McCarthy was 100% right about the commie threat within. He was a war hero and a genuine Patriot who made America a better place. He would have made a great President.

Let’s get real - it’s the stupid voters who cost us these seats. These 3rd party candidates don’t have a prayer in he** of winning - all they succeed in doing is costing Republicans a much-needed seat. Yet, the stupid sheeple, who must have purity, continue to waste a vote on them.

You may have to make it two: Lee Terry is behind in NE thanks to the Libertarian candidate splitting the vote. Race is still too close to call, but it doesn’t look good.
