If Cassidy holds on to win (Mary L. has never lost a Run-Off Election) that will make the GOP "take-aways" a total of nine. Unbelievable!!!

The Republican votes outweighed the Democrat votes (legal and illegal) by enough to insure a win in the runoff. Unless the magic numbers of 61 or 67 come into play there really is no point in spending the money. After all, its THEIR money not ours that’s at risk. Big difference.

If you support the oil and gas industry, that's not a reason to support Mary Landrieu. She votes for Reid to be majority leader and Reid wouldn't even bring Keystone up for a vote, which is a big reason we don't have it. Also, her PAC has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to anti-oil Democrat members of Congress:

"Behind the scenes, however, Ms. Landrieu has been working just as hard to make sure she's irrelevant. Through the auspices of JAZZ PAC, her leadership political action committee, she has from 2006 to 2012 contributed some $380,000 to re-elect some of the most ardent Senate opponents of the oil and gas industry. One result is a bloc of liberal members who easily cancel out Ms. Landrieu's votes and guarantee the defeat of legislation designed to help Louisiana."

Cassidy seems to be a heavy favorite now in LA, barring some game changing development between now and early December.

Gillespie doesn’t seem to have much hope left in Virginia. He is down 20,000 votes which seems insurmountable with the kind of minor corrections that happen at this point. The only thing that might still be a factor is if there are a large number of uncounted military absentee ballots. Does anyone know what they are waiting for in this race?

I’ve read that the Alaska race may not be decided for two weeks yet. The Republican has an 8000 vote lead over the Democrat incumbent, but there are as many as 40,000 uncounted absentee ballots out, which could be enough to overcome that lead. The absentee ballots are heavily drawn from remote parts of Alaska, including Inuit villages. I could see the absentee ballots in Alaska breaking 25,000 to 15,000 in favor of the Democrat, which would change the outcome. Does anyone who knows Alaska have any better information on this race?

Senate Democrats' campaign committee on Thursday began canceling plans for television ads in Louisiana's major markets to help Sen. Mary Landrieu's runoff campaign against Republican Bill Cassidy, making her re-election bid an even steeper challenge.

This is what is commonly called a stab in the back! I suppose that it's appropriate for 'Rats to cannibalize their own.

Question: Which senator is the head honcho of the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee, which is pulling the plug on Landrieu? Chuckie Schumer?

The Bolshecrat Party, who have no qualms to spend other people’s money, don’t want to waste their own on Little Mary Traitor.

<><> Repubs could scoop up yet another seat----NJ Gov Christie could appoint a Repub----b/c shady Nj Sen Menendez is under investigation for a host of corrupt activities. Menendez is being bird-dogged by ace WNBC-TV reporter Jonathan Dienst who uncovered dirt that drove NJ's Torricelli out of office.

<><> Possibility in VA---Repub Ed Gillespie is 1/2 point behind the Dem ---- recount is in the works. Poor Ed is at the mercy of the Dem fraud machine that stole the Gov'ship for Clintonista Terry McCauliffe.

<><> Alaska is still up in the air, I believe.
