After Reconstruction, Dems forced all elected Black Americans out of Congress.

I agree with that.

I come from the old school. Show me the context and I may buy into the bad interpretation, if the person deserves it.

When Al Campanas stated that Blacks were more physical because they had been bred for strength, it was a reasoned and truthful comment.

Black slave owners treated them like cattle. They did breed them to get a stronger slave.

So Campanas addressed truth, and got fired. That’s dumb.

It’s not an insult to Blacks to mention this. It’s actually a slam on slave owners who treated Blacks that way. And it should be something that is talked about, because it was wrong.

Campanas didn’t deserve any disciplinary action.

Charles was found guilty of 11 ethics violations, including neglecting to pay taxes on his Dominican Republic vacation villa in 2010. That man shouldn’t be in congress. He should be locked in a cage.

It won’t break my heart when POS like him fade away.

Rangel, the epitome of the corrupt democratic politicians, a leader of the party of slavery, the KKK, the segregation; a dishonor for Blacks and Hispanics, have the gall to call racists to Republicans who shed their blood to give freedom to the Blacks slaves, who forced the desegregation of school and who make possible that Blacks could enjoy the full protection of their civil, political and human rights guarantee by the U.S. Constitution.

Does Charlie know that the pro-slavery Confederates were 100% Democrat?

Hell does the baiter know that the KKK were friggin democrats, does he care? If you took everything that Rangel knew and packed it with with care, it might, just might, fit in a thimble.

“Rangel is both a crook and race baiter.”

Charley Rangel is simply following an old tradition in that seat. Even though redistricting has changed the number several times, I am pretty sure he still occupies the same seat that Adam Clayton Powell did and Powell was so crooked, they had to bury him with a large corkscrew.

BLACK REPULICAN QUOTES
Quotes from Frederick Douglas

Brainy Quotes ^ | Various, 19th Century | Frederick Douglas

I am a Republican, a black, dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress.

It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.

I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence.

Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them.

I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs.

The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppose.

One and God make a majority.

I didn’t know I was a slave until I found out I couldn’t do the things I wanted.

I recognize the Republican party as the sheet anchor of the colored man’s political hopes and the ark of his safety.
No man can put a chain about the ankle of his fellow man without at last finding the other end fastened about his own neck.

To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker.

The soul that is within me no man can degrade.

Man’s greatness consists in his ability to do and the proper application of his powers to things needed to be done.

Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground.

A little learning, indeed, may be a dangerous thing, but the want of learning is a calamity to any people.

A battle lost or won is easily described, understood, and appreciated, but the moral growth of a great nation requires reflection, as well as observation, to appreciate it.

The thing worse than rebellion is the thing that causes rebellion.

When men sow the wind it is rational to expect that they will reap the whirlwind.

The white man’s happiness cannot be purchased by the black man’s misery.

Two words: Tim Scott.

Then again, Charlie Rangel has no idea of what life is like in the South today.

Charlie, we don’t dislike you because you are black. We dislike you because you are you. But keep playing that race card as you spiral into irrelevance.

He’s a bit overdue to spiral into punishment; I suppose he’s been given the opportunity to heap more coals of fire on his own head?

Charlie Rangel owns rentals in Dominican Republic, and never pays his taxes....he had huge taxes in arrears a few years back. Not sure where he is today on paying them.

Actually Charlie, we want Voter ID so Illegal Invaders won’t steal the Votes of Black American Citizens.

You know, the same people that Obama wants to legalize so they can steal Jobs from the same Black American Citizens.
