Congressional Republicans seized Wednesday on controversial comments made by a former health-care consultant to the Obama administration, with one leading House conservative suggesting that hearings could be called in response as part of the GOP effort to dismantle the law in the next Congress and turn public opinion ahead of the 2016 election.

"We may want to have hearings on this," said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), an influential voice among GOP hardliners and a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, in an interview at the Capitol. "We shouldn't be surprised they were misleading us."

"We can talk all we want but he is going to veto whatever we send him," Coburn said. "That's the reality."

Make him do it then.

“an influential voice among GOP hardliners”

Does the Washington Post ever call any Dems “hardliners”?

"We shouldn't be surprised they were misleading us."

If they'd read the d*** bill, they'd have known it from the get-go. WE knew it!

If he still has a job next year, he will be proven right that Americans are stupid. The verdict is still out.

It doesn’t end w/Gruber either.

Just imagine how many grubers there are defrauding the public in the environmentalist movement.

Plenty folks in business too.

Imagine you’re the CEO of GE. You’re banking on greenies to buy your LED lightbulbs so you can recoup your investment.

But because of the price, not enough folks are buying.

Solution easy! Get the gov’t to make incandescent bulbs illegal and then your market share will increase because folks now have to buy the product.

This happens all too often in government and has been going on awhile.

Whenever the govt tries to force feed us this kind of tripe, from now on we should provide the same answer:

No, because Gruber!

Make him do it then.

Exactly. To (mis)quote Casey Stengel - "Doesn't anyone here know how to play this game?"

Congressional Republicans seized Wednesday on controversial comments

Rule # 1 of the MSM reporting -- if something the Liberal side says is indefensible, spin the story as Republicans trying to score political points.

The only hard anything the Democrats had was Bill Clinton a decade or so ago.

Exactly. Fund the gov’t piece meal. Make Obama veto funding the military. Veto funding medicare. Veto funding SS. Veto funding border security. Veto funding INS. Veto funding the federal prisons. Just never send him a funding bill for obamacare.

What struck me was how smug and pleased with himself this Gruber was. He was giddy with gall. The cat who ate and spat out the canary. You know, that canary, that keeps flying back into the same coal mines where it’s all toxic.

More fall guys for Obama to come.
They will feed and distract feed and distract.
The GOP may as well go for impeachement.
It’s the one that the media cannot ignore.

re: “We may want to have hearings on this,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio)”

I’m sure Rep. Jordan means well, but whenever I hear Republicans say what he said I think of the character Dark Helmet from Mel Brooks, “Space Balls”, who said, “you’re always preparing - just do it!!”

So, GOP, quit saying you “might do something” or “we’ll have hearings” - just do it! Stop this cr-p!

Does the GOP have the `nads to take back its prerogative: the purse-strings, from the Usurper?
Nah. They’ve got what they wanted. I’m betting on the usual sternly worded letter or hearing where someone waves a finger at a smiling `rat.
We won’t see much passion from `our’ critters for a couple years, until the next election season.
Maybe they’ll surprise us, but I’m not betting the rent money.
