Everyone email this to your Delegates/Senators

You betcha. If Congress has the power to rescind a presidential Executive Order, then by God, they MUST do this.

I wouldn’t say the POTUS is without limit regarding pardons.
He can’t pardon people for violation of state law, only federal laws.
A huge alteration of federal law couched as “pardons” probably wouldn’t work either.
The problem here is (what I was taught in law school) known as a constitutional crisis.
Two bit dictators like 0bola were meant to be impeached and removed.
Too bad the body responsible for conviction and removal was fundamentally altered by the 17th Amendment.

The big question is whether or not the American people -- that's you and me and every other American who wants to keep their Republic -- will have the guts to take to the streets to FORCE them to do this.

I'm ready. It's come to the point where the only force on earth that will stop this madness, is the American people themselves.

“Congress should strip the judiciary’s ability to hear challenges to state marriage laws.”

Congress has the power to do that for the FEDERAL judiciary. State judges would still be required to apply the US constitution as the supreme law of the land.

Not even close. This EO is very similar in scope to the Reagan Amnesty only it applies to millions more.

“depending on exactly what the EO says.........probably be to try to get an injunction “

In Wikipedia there is a list of who his political donors are; he is doing as they’ve paid him to do.

not necessarily the authority to reverse a ruling.

Just as easy to write a new law and state that it is not subject to Judicial Review.

If executive Orders are so sacrosanct, then what prohibits the president from issuing an executive order to collect all privately owned firearms? I guess we should just gripe a little more.

The President has unlimited Constitutional power to pardon.

Yes he does, but he does not have the authority to pardon into perpetuity.

Illegals are here illegally a pardon can not allow the to continue to break the law, and as far as I know he has no authority to proclaim them to be citizens.

Sure. Congress could scuttle any executive order they wanted to.

Here’s the key issue: they don’t want to scuttle amnesty. But they also realize that the public wants them to. So we’ll go through this kabuki theatre of dear leader doing an executive order and Congress “trying valiantly” to stop it, only to fail in the end.

And conservatives will fall for the BS theatrical routine as they always have.

‘Can the President veto this Congressional Revocation?’

drpix: “Yes.”

Wouldn’t that necessarily imply that POTUS can also veto any Articles of Impeachment?

Seems to be that there was a post and also from other sources that 35 million forms were contracted out (a month or more ago) to be printed. There is likely several million ready to go right now, if they aren’t already in the hands of groups like La Raza.

Here’s the rub as I see it: if there is an attempt to repeal or nullify the executive order, it will not happen until the new Congress convenes in January. By that time, the EO will have been in effect for at least a month.

How many illegals will have applied by that time? Who knows, but the GOP will, by nullification, be revoking their new found citizenship. This will supposedly (according to various pundits) anger Hispanics and cause them to turn against the GOP in the 2016 election, thereby electing whomever the Dems put up as their candidate. This does not even begin to count the effect of the MSN screaming about the evil, anti-family GOP and that effect on the election.

So by that calculation, the new GOP will make lots of noise (but not enough to anger the precious Hispanic vote) and satisfy the base, but somehow be unable to revoke it.

The could nullify only if they win the 2016 election. Meanwhile ...

This fight is not over, not by a long shot. Game on. Conservatives will be watching.

Call or write your legislator today (the Capitol switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) tell Capitol Hill Republicans that you voted for them to stand tall and fight the Obama – Reid plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and that you future support of the Republican Party will stand or fall on their opposition to granting amnesty to illegal aliens and stopping Obama from dictatorially granting amnesty to illegals by executive order, bypassing Congress

Well of course it hasn’t! We all knew that would never move forward, didn’t we?

Just like we know that most of the Republicans in Congress aren’t really interested in what they can do to stop the EOs we hear are coming.
