IMPEACHMENT GOES MAINSTREAM
Breitbart ^ | November 14, 2014 | By Ben Shapiro

Posted on 11/14/2014 12:50:54 PM PST by Jim Robinson

In July, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin wrote a widely-publicized op-ed for Breitbart News. “Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president,” she wrote. “Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America.” Then, she dropped the bomb: “It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.”

Believe it or not, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had actually suggested impeachment even earlier, this time over the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap, in which the Obama administration freed five top-level Taliban terrorists in exchange for the alleged deserter. He stated, “There will be people on our side calling for his impeachment if he did that.” And Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) said in March that Obama could be up for impeachment if he continued his “unconstitutional approaches” to immigration reform and Obamacare.

But it was Palin’s comments that drove ire. At the time, Palin’s critics leapt on the comments to suggest that Republicans more broadly were planning impeachment; House Speaker John Boehner immediately fired back, stating that he disagreed with Palin on impeachment.

There were some who defended Palin’s position – Mark Levin explained, “our country is being destroyed….Here’s the dead truth. Obama should be impeached, but he won’t be impeached. Obama should be impeached if the Republicans take the Senate, but he won’t be impeached if the Republicans take the Senate. Obama has committed high crimes and misdemeanors by violating the constitution.”

Nixon loved his country and his own honor enough to resign before the country was further harmed.

Nixon loved his country, true. This was his country.

This isn't BO's country. He knows it.

Based very solidly on observation on what moves Mitt. He is a pleaser, a weather vane. That is superior to a staunch contrarian.

Abortion backers are superior to no one. Ever.

Yup... when any kind of flag symbolism appeared in Obama material, it was grossly warped.

He hated, and hates, America sincerely.

And here are folks strutting around about opting to throw the presidency to a sincere America hater.

Sorry Norm but I must weigh in here. Democrats understand the tax base is 40 million short. They will NEVER say why.

You backed an abortion funder and wear Christianity like a badge. Not reconcilable. 2 years later you defend him.

You wear conservatism like a badge.

Which president is easier to hem in. You get two guesses.

It would have been possible to pressure Mitt into doing things that no amount of American outrage could budge Barack on.

Just like Boehner and McConnell are being pressured now? The way Dubya was pressured to veto McCain's Campaign Finance reform? Oh ... that's right, Dubya let us down.

That's what guys like you have been promising for more than 30 years -- "Hey, we can pressure him!" But the opposite happens -- conservatives are pressured into being progressive.

Like I said, a lot of slumbering folks woke up in 2012. YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTE FOR. There's no such thing as voting "against."

Only need one. Neither. they are both liberals. Thats their records. And the badge thing? One of us lives by it to the best extent he can. The other preaches it and contributes to the power of an abortion backer, then makes excuses defending him when he’s unapologetic about it.. That is far from living up to christian values. Thats the opposite of them.

Oh look folks! More Republican conservatism springing out to save us all. Boy we gotta put them GOP guys in power no matter what. Imagine the horror if this was a Democrat judge! He might do the...very same thing.

None of us work hard enough and give enough money in the primary season. We are another version of the slobs who don’t even know there’s a midterm election whatever that means. We only catch on when the media start shouting it from every rooftop. Then it’s too late. Too many conservatives have been defeated by RINOs.

I’m including myself of course.

And excluding all those who beat their brains out for the right people.

I’m just stating a very general truth. We start too late to notice what is happening.

Generally yes. but then there’s the other kind I rail on as well. Some people start out doing the right thing for the right people for the right reason. then they are screamed at by the Freeper left and the left wing of every other ‘right wing’ site about how evil they are for not backing the RINO/GOPe candidate that can WIN! because this is the most important election ever and next time they can push for the conservative but right now is too important and we need party unity because if you don’t elect their Rino then you love Obama, hate America and are Yosemite Sam on a dragon. Conservatives in name only - Cheshires here only to keep the pot stirred, feed us GOPe bullshit and prevent us from coming together behind conservative candidates. Every single election this happens. And every single election, conservatives lose primaries because the people I mention above go down the fear filled path to RINOville by these plants.

We live with 30 years worth of results. It has to stop.

Many are saying ‘it can’t be done’ or ‘it won’t be done’.......

Well.......the awesome outcome of the election we just had wasn’t suppose to happen either....

...but it did!!!!!

We can’t give up, or give in now!

Find me one other Freeper that will agree with your position and prove what a PDSer I am.

Well, anyone who's been here since 2008 knows that's a crock.

I went back to the beginning of your exchange with Lake, and can't make heads or tails of what he's talking about. As far as I can tell, he seems to be implying that Palin counseled conservatives to vote RINO over the last two years, which I strongly disagree with.

Even when Mitt was the nominee, she never gave him her full throated support. At best, she went quiet til after the election, so as not to hurt the party's chances. At least that was my read on her participation at the time.

None of us is perfect. Not you, not me, and not even the great Sarah Palin. She's made a move or two that's disappointed me, but overall, she's one of the staunchest conservative patriots in this country, and still has an uncanny knack for seeing through the fog of national politics and spotting the truth. Her political instincts are second to none, and she's been proven right too many times to count since she gained national prominence.

Actually, amnesty opens the floodgates and the Republic is destroyed. No borders, no constitution, lawless, godless, unlimited socialist government. There would be no constitutional remedy left. We’d have to fall back on the last recourse as defined by the Founders in the Declaration.

I'm sure that millions of Americans are quietly contemplating what Obama's executive amnesty will mean for the country, and are coming to the exact same conclusion.

For my part, I have little faith that the Republicans in Congress will use their constitutional power to stop this treason. Boehner and McConnell have already signaled that they're not going to stand in Obama's way. I think the ball will be tossed back to the states to do what they have to, to protect their own citizens.

The Governors are going to be forced to tell Obie and the rest of Washington to go to HELL, if this goes through. I fully expect the people and the governments of many states to finally recognize that the national government is hopelessly broken, and corrupted beyond redemption.

The compact that binds our union will be broken.

Obama's about to push this country into a zone that is unprecedented in our history.

If Obama grants amnesty though illegal means, there must be every means necessary used to stop that from happening. If that is civil disobedience by the people and failure of his subordinates to implement his orders so be it.

I've said for some time now, that if ten million pissed off Americans camped out in DC for as long as it took to get Fedzilla to STOP THE TYRANNY, we'd regain our constitutional republic.

With Congress signaling to Obama that they're not going to do a thing to stop him, what other recourse is there besides several states flat out refusing to abide by this illegal order?

A friend pointed out to me tonight that these phony documents Obama will be dishing out will enable the Mexicans to be on Obamacare, dragging the cost to the breaking point even more than it is now.

Amnesty will basically entitle them to everything: establishing identities with leases, utility accounts, and credit cards, building up enough phony documents to register to vote, and on and on to things we haven’t even thought of. The potential for identity theft is enormous, since they have no real documents, just the phony ones, on which they can put any name and address they choose.

Even if Obama says none of this will be allowed, we now know that we can’t trust him in the slightest.
