Can somebody vote “yes” for me? I don’t want to click on msnbc’s website and give them fake data with which to charge their advertisers for.

Well, how about 38% of them carry one, then? Seems to me that would keep the bad guys guessing.

I agree with select teachers being armed with the caveat they use some form of body carry. No “gun purses” for women

If the murdered adults at Newtown could have a do-over, you can bet they would have preferred to face Adam Lanza with a gun of their own.

What is so ironic is the other answer,

“We don’t want any kind of guns in our schools.”

The killers don’t give a flip for your answer and wouldn’t listen anyway. That answer disarms all the good people and puts them totally at the mercy of the bad people.

Voting with their feelings, not with their mind.

As a teacher, I am totally for it. It would be simple enough, really. Just have the local sheriff deputize those who could pass through a certification/training process. Since I cannot carry at school, I keep a 1911 in my truck about 50 feet from my classroom door. It isn’t the ideal place, but it is better than nothing.

If the school system cannot provide more effective forms of security, then teachers should be allowed to carry while at work subject to obtaining the proper anti-terrorist training.

I do not consider “Gun Free Zone” signs, door locks, or a greeter to be an effective form of security. If you want a preview of where we may be heading, check out the Israelis.

Survey is rather odd. Just gives a percentage of the way you voted, no info. on No votes, at least what I could find out.
Right now 40% yes

Depends on the teacher.

I guess that’s a yes, because the opposing view is an unqualified no.

I would go even farther. I would support laws requiring a teacher to have a concealed carry permit before he or she could obtain or renew her or his teaching credentials.
