According to a survey by tech giant Cisco Systems, about a fourth of professionals ages 18 to 50 would leap at the chance to get a surgical brain implant that allowed them to instantly link their thoughts to the Internet.
The study was conducted on 3,700 adults working in white-collar jobs in 15 countries.

It’s more of an indulgence than anything. People did the same thing when self-service gas stations came into being.
See... Gruber was right after all.
Gruber was only paraphrasing P.T. Barnum.

And what an opportunity for folks who get their jollies writing computer viruses.
There are already alternative internets. Between subscription based networks and the deep web there’s dozen of alternatives. But of course none of them are as easy to access or prominent as the main one.
The Bible is constant and unchanging. What the words actually mean, especially in the prophetic sections, is another matter entirely. Given that 6 in Hebrew is a vertical line I thought barcodes were a shoe-in for MOTB, but the world of commerce has moved from us having barcodes in our wallet to magnetic strips and now onto RFIDs so that idea didn’t pan out.
Probably most of these idiots voted for Obama, love Obozocare, use Facebook as their bible and meeting place and wait outside a store on a sidewalk for days and nights for the latest smart phone.
Your sister and I are somewhat alike. I will use an ATM machine. But I won’t use self checkout as it always takes longer than having a “professional” do it.
I don’t have/want a cell phone, don’t have/want/watch TV. I avoid social networking like the plague.
But I do use online banking; tremendous time and postage saver.
And, of course, I’m addicted to FR. Spend way too much time here. But it’s better than watching mindless TV.
That’s another way of saying the same thing I did.
which points to a type of mark that now makes more sense than in my Grandpas day.
So, todays The Mark of The Beast is different that The Mark of The Beast that your Grandpa had to watch for?

The Bible (the WORD of God) is the same yesterday, today, and forever. References to the MOB in Revelation 13:15-18, 14:9, 11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, 20:4.
I pointed out upthread that the Bible doesn’t change.
It appears, however, that The Mark of The Beast changes regularly.
My point is simply this; all these calls of that “this mark is now The Mark of The Beast” are calls from people who may be well intentioned, but not Biblically rooted.
The problem with anything prophetic is nobody really knows what it means until after the fact... if even then. Nobody ever wrote a prophecy that said “and then a guy in his 50s who wears nice suits and drives a 2030 model Caddy will start the apocalypse by assassinating a significant French dignitary”. In modern parlance all prophecy is written “vague-book” style, so it’s all about interpretation.
“me and alec Baldwin” BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Revelation 13:16-7
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Maybe wives will have a chip planted in their husband’s penis so they can monitor any unwarranted extracurricular activity.
me and alec Baldwin BWAHAHAHAHAHA!Yes, watch the whole episode if you can. The Alec Baldwin "tweets" are very funny.
Are there any guarantees that the technology will only allow one-way transfers? What if all it takes is a software update to make it possible to transfer thoughts to the implantees? If the implantees are libs or Dems I guess there will be no appreciable difference from current libs and Dems.
