I have been an immigration officer for 18 years. I am going to watch the futility of my career as I watch this unlawful reversal of 8 CFR.
The INA, 96 ACT, 8 CFR being burned.
What are we supposed to do at work now, all 15 thousand of us? We have refused entry to and deported thousands of people. Now all the illegals get to laugh in our face.

Illegals have no legal documentation here whatsoever, no legal right to be here or work here- other than those granted some sort of temporary right to be here by an immigration court.
After Obama signs this tomorrow if it states what he outlined it sounds like they will have the same status as those with legal (green cards is the common term) documentation to work here. Sounded like there is a provision to keep those that qualify for the permit (or whatever they are going to call it) from being deported.

My family used to cross the border to Progresso often. Then we had to pay to update our passports because we had to have them to get back into the U.S.!!
We stopped going because of the violence in some areas, but it’s stunning to know the illegals can just walk across and not be turned back.

Now I’m not saying what’s been happening is anything close to it but it makes me think about what the Germans did during Hitler’s reign and how millions had to have realized what was taking place but they did nothing to stop it. We would all say that’d never be us. You’re afraid there is no hope? With the mindset of the majority I would agree there is no hope. But that makes me sad. We are oh so beaten down and helpless. There are no knights in shining armor. There are no cowboys. Where have they all gone? Why do other civilized nations have protest in the streets but in America we cower in our houses? Blacks do it, Hispanics do it, gays do it, feminists do it, but WE have no fire in our bellies?
Oh I see about 10 tea party activists on an occasional overpass once every couple months. That’s all, that’s it.

What??? They sure aren’t appealing to middle-class middle of the road Americans cause I’m one of them and I’ve always made my own damn bed and cleaned my own freaking toilet. If they want to use this argument I want them to send over a Spanish lady to do these mundane chores for me, because apparently this is oh so important and not the mundane little chores I thought they were.
Hey, they knew the risks when they came no?! Nobody forced them to! I don’t understand. When an American citizen breaks a law what happens? They’re told don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. And some of them have children “ripped” from their arms as they’re sent to jail.
We were all strangers once? What does he think we were all born on Mars? Does he not know the meaning of “settlers?” My ancestors helped found a state in this union. I’m no stranger to this land. He’s a dim bulb.
Yep mine did too, and ancestors talked about their journey, the mandatory quarantine, and the dry goods business they started up in Chicago that allowed them to settle into a nice house.
