On Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Mo., Darren Wilson, a white police officer, shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager. Brown's body was left in the street for four hours.

Brown's killing was a familiar American tragedy in a country where young black men between the ages of 15 and 19 are 21 times more likely to be shot by police officers than young white men of the same age.

Brown’s body was left in the street for four hours.

Gasp ! The horror !

Yeah, this isn't television where the wonder cops can wrap everything up in an hour.

Besides, what did four hours in the street matter to Brown, he was dead. Now, if Brown were wounded and left in the street for four hours that would be a valid complaint.

Obummers legacy story should always have a beautiful picture of the burnt down looted city of Ferguson. This was his gift to America.

You can’t call for backup every time you see a black man walking in the street.

If people got collectively outraged every time a black ‘yout’ kills another black ‘yout’ maybe something would change, instead you get the stupid things like this. Had Wilson been black, I have zero doubt this thug would still be dead! Sharpton et al flaming racial tensions over something that race had nothing to do with... these people (the Al Sharpton’s of the world) are dregs.

I still think Wilson handled it wrong. He should have called for backup before attempting to arrest Brown. Once he confronted him “feeling like a 5 year old” (eyeroll) it was too late.

So he should have called for backup before asking two people to please walk on the sidewalk?

From what I understand the situation went immediately downhill after the request to "get out of the street".

Of course, most adults in the civilized world also know that the rate of mindless, violent crimes by young black males also perfectly tracks the same 21 times 'more likely to commit' rate. . .

// Could it possibly be that young white men of the same age have real fathers at home who teach their sons to be good citizens and obey the laws, stay in school and get a good education, graduate and get either a college degree or a skillful trade, raise a family and don’t steal?... //

or get slapped upside the haid :-]

By now even Wolf Blitzer of CNN has been instructed by MO authorities that Brown’s corpse was left in the street until the crime scene was thoroughly searched and all evidence was recorded and secured. That took four hours. It was not a sign of disrespect, as the fevered race baiters in Ferguson publicized it, but a matter of following the law.

I guess they don't show forensic protocol for crime scene shows on the BET channel, or the local rap channel.

These same ignorant IQ-deprived mindless subhumans would be screaming that removing the body immediately was a plot by "whitey's cops" to eliminate and ignore evidence that might have exonerated the killer giant... errr, "poor innocent 305-pound child killer giant."

I thot’ the slogan was, “I’m from Missouri, I have to be showed”. Michael Brown attacked a policeman (after first attacking and robbing a store clerk), so IMO he needed to be “showed”. Unfortunate that he was killed in the process, but he was high on marijuana which probably dulled his senses to the dangers. For the black community to attempt to make a hero out of this thug in training is stupefying. I just think there are many fools now marching that will also die in the process, and for no sane reason. If you want to vilify a police force that you think uses undue force, pick a more worth case to back.

Of course, the Inconvenient Truth is, that young black men between the ages of 15 and 19 are FAR more likely to be involved in criminal activity than young white men in the same age range.

But pointing that out is apparently wrong, because, racism. . .

"Good point! This is the “teachable moment” that Iman Obama, Holder and Sharpton should heed."

And I wasn't even being snarky. Seriously, if unarmed young black men don't do things like use illegal drugs, rob convenience stores, and assault police officers, they in all likelihood won't get shot by the police. But Michael Brown was doing all three.

From Wilson's Grand Jury testimony:
Brown was starting to come around the mirror and as he came around the mirror i said, 'well, what's wrong with the sidewalk.' Brown then replied ... '(expletive) what you have to say.' And when he said that, it drew my attention totally to Brown. It was a very unusual and not expected response from a simple request ....

first thing I notice is in his right hand, his hand is full of Cigarillos. And that's when it clicked for me ... I did a doublecheck that Johnson was wearing a black shirt, these are the two from the stealing ...

I got on my radio and Frank 21 is my call sign that day, i said Frank 21 I'm on Canfield with two, send me another car. I then placed my car in reverse and backed up ... the back of my vehicle to cut them off ...

I go to open the door and i say, hey, come here for a minute to Brown. As I'm opening the door he turns, faces me, looks at me and says, 'what the (expletive) are you going to do about it,' and shuts my door, slammed it shut ... he was just staring at me, almost like to intimidate me or to overpower me. The intense face he has was just not what i expected ...

Truth cannot be spoken any more. That’s why it seems like nobody is saying anything of value anymore. There are no lessons being learned anymore. Everything sounds empty.

Unless someone happens to say something true, like Rudy Giuliani did the other day, and then suddenly our ears prick up...like...”what? What did he say? Yes, yes, now that sounds right!”

But Rudy was not supposed to say what he said so Nevermind.

At my coffee group this morning (all experts in all things),one ex-lawman said the body cannot be moved until a MD examines it and the morgue people arrive. I suppose different states have varying rules.
