... To grasp climate change, you have to think in terms of species and their future. To know how things have already changed, you have to remember how they used to be, and so you may not notice birds disappearing from the skies, or hotter weather or more extreme storms and forest fires. You need to look past the sparrow and see the whole system that allows or allowed the birds to flourish. The swallows, the chinook salmon, desert tortoises, manatees, moose and us. Addressing climate means fixing the way we produce energy. But maybe it also means addressing the problems with the way we produce stories.
Over all, climate change tends to be reported as abstract explanations about general tendencies and possible outcomes. Its a difficult subject to tell and to take in. The scientific side is complicated. Understanding it requires the ultimate in systems thinking: the cumulative effect of all of us burning coal and oil impacts things far away and yet to come. A lot of it is hard to see.
Climate change is everything, a story and a calamity bigger than any other. Its the whole planet for the whole foreseeable future, the entire atmosphere, all the oceans, the poles; its weather and crop failure and famine and tropical diseases heading north and desertification and the uncertain fate of a great majority of species on earth.
And so we should seek out new kinds of stories stories that make us more alarmed about our conventional energy sources than the alternatives.

“Take a lie, make it big enough, repeat it often enough and people will believe it.”- Dr. Goebbels NAZI Propaganda Minister
“Charles Manson, the notorious cult leader, has broken a 20-year silence in an interview from his prison cell to warn the world of an impending apocalypse due to global warming.

Everyones God and if we dont wake up to that theres going to be no weather because our polar caps are melting because were doing bad things to the atmosphere, he said.
The automobiles and fossil fuels are destroying the atmosphere and we wont have air to breathe.
Can someone ‘splain what is this mansplaining?
Flying dinosaurs do still exist! We just give them a shorter name.
“Birds”
This feckless article full of sound and fury signifying nothing needs a rewrite!
... To grasp climate change, you have to STOP thinkING. To know how things have already changed, you have to remember how they used to be, and so you may not notice birds disappearing from the skies, or hotter weather or more extreme storms and forest fires.BECAUSE NONE OF THOSE THINGS WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE YOU DRIVE YOUR CAR TO WORK.
You need to look past the sparrow and see the whole system that allows or allowed the birds to flourish.DITTUM DATTUM WATTUM CHOO. The swallows, the chinook salmon, desert tortoises, manatees, moose and us. GOO GOO GAH JUBE. MARSEY DOTES AN DOSEY DOTES.
Addressing climate means fixing the way we produce energy.I AM THE EGGMAN. But maybe it also means addressing the problems with the way we produce stories. STORIES!!!!-—OF COURSE—BECAUSE THE TRUTH DOES NOT RESIDE IN A TALE TELLER THAT BELIEVES IN MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING!
Over all, climate change tends to be reported as abstract explanations about general tendencies and possible outcomes. BECAUSE THERE ARE NO FACTS OR SCIENCE TO BACK ANY OF IT UP. ONLY NONSENSICAL ASSUMPTIONS LEADING TO AN OUTCOME THAT MAKES GOVERNMENT SUPREMACISTS SQUEAL WITH DELIGHT. Its a difficult subject to tell and to take in. The scientific side is complicated. NOT COMPLICATED, JUST AGAINST THE STORY-TELLER'S SOCIALIST AGENDA. IT'S COMPLICATED WHEN YOU TRY TO GET PEOPLE TO BELIEVE YOUR LIES IN ORDER TO GIVE THE GOVERNMENT EVEN MORE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. Understanding it requires the ultimate in systems thinking: the cumulative effect of all of us burning coal and oil impacts things far away and yet to come. A lot of it is hard to see. IT'S VERY VERY HARD TO SEE BECAUSE AGW DOESN'T EXIST!....MUCH IN THE SAME WAY THAT THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES WERE HARD TO SEE.
Climate change is everything, a story (YES-A STORY) and a calamity bigger than any other. Its the whole planet for the whole foreseeable future, the entire atmosphere, all the oceans, the poles; its weather and crop failure and famine and tropical diseases heading north and desertification and the uncertain fate of a great majority of species on earth. (CUE THE R.E.M. SONG)
And so we should seek out new kinds of stories stories that make us more alarmed about our conventional energy sources than the alternatives. STORIES THAT ARE MORE PHONY AND SO LUDICROUS THAT THEY WRAP AROUND AND BECOME BELIEVABLE. THIS IS WHAT THE CLIMATE ALARMISTS ARE HOPING FOR, THE BELIEF OF THE BIG LIE. SAME CONCEPT THAT ANOTHER BIG GOVERNMENT ADVOCATE CAME UP WITH ABOUT 70 YEARS AGO IN GERMANY.
There. Fixed it.
Her Bio:
Strangely, in her background as a messed up high schooler from Novato to her yawn inspiring Journalism degree, to her insipid hippy "environmentalism", I find no background in any of the disciplines I would associate with predictive Meteorology - Computational Fluid Dynamics, Atmospheric Sciences, not even basic Statistics.
Nope. She resorts to a plea for Animism and primitive fear mongering to resolve a problem which she can't even define.
But...she has a soulful Feeling for it and wants us to conjure that feeling with...the Birds.
Chance the Gardener with her mind in the clouds.
“There’s no science to support Anthropogenic Global Warming, so we need you to make up some oral history.”
That’s racist... ;)
*And so we should seek out new kinds of stories stories that make us more alarmed about our conventional energy sources than the alternatives
Didn’t even CONSIDER writing stories that tell the truth, did you? *
“WHAT THE GOVERNMENT TELLS YOU IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THAT OLD FASHIONED CONCEPT CALLED TRUTH”
I saw that painted by a pig on the side of a barn somewhere. I think it was in Washington DC...
Mansplaining? I thought that was what Ricky Ricardo did...
A sermon on the mountain of BS that is the religion of left.
Oh, save us great god of goverment solutions, even if those solutions makes things worse!
The person was likely referring to pterosaurs, which actually were not dinosaurs, but rather reptiles.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
Reading this stuff is like hearing another adult telling me if I dont be good, Santa is going to be here any moment to kick my ass.
If climate change is taken out of the global equation, we’d end up with an “unnatural” set of circumstances.
So, let nature take its course.
Chance the Gardener!
Brilliant!
However, Chance was about 100 smarter than her

Have you ever heard a sales presentation from an old-fashioned con-man? This exactly the tool they use, “Put away your conventional reasoning and think of things in a different way.” Their con doesn’t work if people use common sense and take into account the lifetime of knowledge they have learned, so the con-man asks you to start thinking in a different way. That’s what this woman is doing. Anytime someone tells you to “embrace a new paradigm” or “take into account a changing world,” chances are it’s a lie, a fraud, or a con.
Santa causes global warming...
Someone should tell the moron that those birds missing from the skies are due to those solar farms frying them and the wind farms chopping them up. The last body count I heard included sixty bald eagles and not a single fine.
