How long until Hillary declares this a right wing conspiracy? Cosby now has more rape accusers than Bill Clinton! and that’s saying something!

So he settled with one (with witnesses), therefore the other 20+ and growing (now that Gloria is demanding $100mil) MUST be true?!?

I am not defending Cosby. If he is guilty, nail him to a cross!

But, I know INNOCENT people who were accused of sexual misconduct, and it killed their military careers! He was a dog! He would screw just about anything that moved, but he was NOT a rapist! However, the seriousness of the charges and the volume of the charges (she got three of her friends to claim he had tried to do things to them against their will) was enough for him to not be allowed to re-enlist. Later, all of them admitted that she was upset that he wasn’t being monogamous with only her and the charges were dropped, but by then he was no longer interested in serving in the service that screwed him over without ANY evidence!

This is about a man who took advantage of women for years while people knew that this was going on and made no effort (by anyone) there in Hollywood to shine the light on the costs of lives being destroyed by these powerful sexual perverts and manipulators.

Hell, there is PROOF that this has been happening in Hollywood since the 1930's!!! Hell, it is still happening TODAY!

You want to change how the hell that is Hollywood treats people, then get something of substance that can be brought to court. NOT he said/she said accusations from 20, 30 or 40 years ago.

I suspect that some (many perhaps) of these people are trying to jump onto the gravy train... they know it's impossible to refute claims made this late in the game.

I suspect some may have simply become intoxicated by his fame... and perhaps a Martini... and did things they now can try and use to cash in with.

I don't understand why Cosby, with all his money and fame would NEED to drug/rape anyone... most famous people have groupies lined up at the door hoping to get ahead by sleeping with them.

And so too, do I. And this whole thing has a Gloria Alred shakedown atmosphere! She creates one or two accusations which become a torrent of accusers, which leads to a huge out of court settlement.

You think Gloria cares if they are true? You think the ladies getting paid cares if they are true? THAT is as real as it gets around Gloria!

Bill Cosby may be the scum of the earth, but even he deserves better than gossip, hearsay, innuendo, and a trial of public opinion! Anything else is horse-crap!

Everyone is due the presumption of innocence — until proven guilty. Christie at the beach, and others here, seem to have forgotten that. What’s next — mobs in the streets firebombing businesses?

This scandal has already cost Cosby millions of dollars — that’s equivalent to leveling a huge financial penalty through an extra-judicial process. If he’s guilty, then he deserves severe penalties. Very severe penalties. Meanwhile, I’m reserving judgment, and I’m not apologizing for that.

There’s a huge difference between defending due process, and defending the (alleged) perpetrator. Given the number of times that conservative political candidates, or conservative organizations (e.g. the Tea Party) have been “tried” in the media — and especially considering the number of times that the accusations were eventually proven false — I would think that Freepers would be amongst the greatest defenders of due process.
