Jordan’s King Abdullah: Battling ISIS Is ‘Our Third World War’

Jordan’s King Abdullah believes battling the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and other terrorist groups is “our third world war.”

Speaking to “CBS This Morning,” Abdullah stated that ISIS is a Muslim problem that they need to take ownership of.

“We need to stand up and say what is right and what is wrong. This is no reflection of our religion. This is evil and all of us have got to make that decision,” Abdullah, who is in Washington to meet with President Barack Obama, said. “We have to stand up and say this is the line that is drawn in the sand and those that believe in right should stand on this side and those that don’t have to make a decision should stand on the other. It’s clearly a fight between good and evil. I think it’s a generational fight. As I said to President Putin, I think this is our third world war by other means.”

The United States, along with allies, have been bombing ISIS targets in both Syria and Iraq. The terror group has released several videos showing the beheadings of Americans and British journalists and aid workers.

Abdullah is calling for a “strategic holistic approach” to deal with ISIS.

“We have to have sooner, I hope, rather than later a strategic holistic approach to being able to deal with all these organizations that actually are the same – different names, but the same beliefs.

In the short TV interview, he came across as having wisdom and intelligence.

In fact, those muslims who choose to ‘peacefully co-exist’ with those of other religions or no religion, are, in fact, apostate to their religion and THANK GOD that they ARE! ISIS, al-quada, et al, ARE the true face of islam.

Iraq is more Shiite (Shia). Syria is more Sunni. ISIS is fighting to take over both (and everyone else, eventually)

The King & other ME rulers know that Islamic terrorism is a weapon that should always be kept pointed away from oneself.

But the bottom line is that King Abdullah & Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi both read from the same Koran. Nothing can change that.

Iraq is about 60/40 shia/sunni.

The sunnis support IS.

The “great awakening” and the “surge” are when the sunnis turned on AQ.

Iran is Shia. Saudi Arabia is Sunni

Syria is about 50/50.

Abdullah is a liar. ISIS is nothing less that the straight-up practice of Islam as outlined in the Koran.

Alawites (Syria) = infidel enemies

Don't worry if you are confused. ALL muslims consider Christians and the West as infidels too so they all look the same to you.

I guess their oil is the only POSSIBLE reason to shed American blood for these people. It begs a question: WHY THE HELL AREN’T WE USING OUR OWN?? ARE WE MAD? (Don’t answer that.)

Well, after about 2 years of ISIS’s existence, this is the first time I’ve recalled any muslim unqualifiedly declare ISIS evil, and islam’s own problem.

That’s a (VERY SLOW) start.

His first mistake is meeting with obama. Will obama suggest empathy like Hillary did? I assume so.

No matter whether King Abdullah is a Muslim or an atheist, he’d be better off praying to Allah to save his country than trusting in King Obama to come to his aid.

Whatever the Koran may say about Allah, the newspapers for the past six years have documented Obama’s serial betrayals of his allies, which King Abdullah should carefully reread to save himself from the same fate.

Apparently, King Abdullah missed the news about Obama’s setting up, then disregarding, his red line against Syria’s use of chemical weapons, or he wouldn’t have stated, “We have to stand up and say this is the line that is drawn in the sand.’’ Anyone who still believes Obama can be trusted to honor lines in the sand, has his head in it.

He’s the one who likes to shed his security detail and slip out and wander around public spaces incognito so he cab interact with the public directly.

Jordan’s had about the best relationship of any Muslim country with Israel for decades, with a lot of under the table interaction and coordination going back to when there was an official state of war (treated with a wink and a nod) between them.

I’ve met his step-mother, Queen Noor, before. Incredibly intelligent and well spoken (she’s an American, Princeton educated iirc) and stunnigly beautiful.
