If Mary Landrieu’s threats are such a good idea for attracting government-dependent Democratic voters to the polls, why didn’t she use them during the general election?

So if Landrieu really wants her voters to have such federal government benefits, here is what she needs to do. She needs to rally Congress to propose an entitlement amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify her amendment then Congress will have the specific powers that it needs to regulate, tax and spend for the items on her list and Sen. Landrieu will be a hero.
