Our little boy may have been conceived in violence, but he is a gift from God — a delicious gift that filled the hole in our family that we never realized was there. He made us complete.

Beautiful words.

There really isn’t a substitute for compassion for the innocent and blameless. I am glad some measure of good came to these two parents.

I will have to ask my wife about this, but there was a Baptist missionary family in South Africa approximately 15 years ago whose wife was raped and left pregnant. They decided to keep the child and have raised him in their already large family.

I can only hope that God has a special blessing for the women, and the men who stand by them, in that incredibly difficult and painful situation.

The blessing might be that there is no hate in their heart when they look at the child.

If she didn’t abort the rapist’s kid, then it wasn’t rape.

More power to her and her husband. "All lives are important." How ironic that even the dummies over at dummyland are repeating this phrase, never stopping to wonder how it might be applicable to these innocents babies in the womb. Who will be their voice?

My first thoughts after reading this were, “God bless her husband!” His strength and love for her in this situation made it so much better for her. A beautiful outcome to a horrid beginning.
