Gov. Steve Beshear was named Thursday to the Democratic National Committee’s “Democratic Victory Task Force” to assess the party’s strengths and weaknesses ahead of future elections.

Beshear was selected by DNC Chair and U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz, D-Florida, alongside nine other appointees.

“We are proud to announce the members of the Democratic Victory Task Force, and are eager to work with them to build on what we’ve done that works, identify and prioritize challenges and ultimately improve our party’s performance in future elections,” Wasserman Schultz said in a press release.

“This diverse group of Democratic Party officials, strategists and advocates will each bring with them expertise from their fields to collaborate on a holistic review of the Party’s past performance and present actionable areas for improvement moving forward.”

Sam Youngman of the Lexington-Herald Leader was first reported Beshear’s selection to the task force.

The task force will conduct a review and assessment of the Democratic Party’s role in recent elections and look for ways to strengthen and improve operations. According to the press release, the group will solicit input from a wide variety of stake holders.

Beshear has been lauded by high profile national Democrats and the White House for his work implementing the Affordable Care Act in the state. He also serves as the last remaining Democrat over a southern state with one legislative chamber still under Democratic majority control.

Other members of the initiative include: Naomi Aberly, Donna Brazile, Maria Cardona, Marc Elias, Teddy Goff, Maneesh Goyal, Colorado Democratic Party Chair Rick Palacio, Lee Saunders and Eric Schmidt.

In the GOP two wings debate which one is dragging everybody over the cliff. No such problems with the Rats. They jump off the cliff together. One thing for certain; nobody on this Rat task farce will dare suggest that their party is moving too left, too fast.

Lest we forget, KY Gov. Beshear is the idiot that decided in November 2009 to rename the state’s Christmas tree the “holiday” tree. He quickly figured out that he’d screwed up and reversed himself. He should work well with Debbie Wasserman-Shultz.

I misread the title. At first glance, I was sure it said, “Boehner named...”.
