The Missouri congressman who represents the city of Ferguson said the U.S. Justice Department should break up the local police department in the wake of Michael Brown’s death
Rep. Lacy Clay, D-Mo., told Reuters in an interview last Thursday that the shooting of Brown, an unarmed black teenager, by white police officer Darren Wilson, is an example of the nearly all-white department’s “oppressive” treatment of blacks.
“I would hope that the Ferguson Police Department would be dissolved and the duties and responsibilities of policing Ferguson would be turned over to the St. Louis County police,” Clay said in the interview.
A grand jury last month declined to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 shooting death of Brown. Wilson has since resigned and the Justice Department’s investigation into Brown’s death and the Ferguson police is ongoing. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, a Democrat, put the state highway patrol in charge of local law enforcement in Ferguson after protests erupted following Brown’s death. The St. Louis county and city police are working in tandem with the highway patrol.
Clay said the St. Louis County police force is trying to become more diverse and has “a little more professionalism, as well as training necessary to police diverse communities.”
Blacks make up 67% of Ferguson’s population, but the police department only has three black officers in its 53-member force.
Clay urged the Justice Department to conduct its own review of the Ferguson events. He has also been concerned about military style equipment used by Ferguson and other police departments, and supports President Obama’s recently announced task force that will study “best practices” of police.

It would probably be for the best if all police were entirely forbidden from policing black neighborhoods at all because, you know, they’re all racist. The police can use all their new found free time to police white neighborhoods because that wouldn’t be considered racist.
He’s a black racist who wants white cops fired... because they’re white.
What else is new? Democrats shamelessly stoke racial conflict to score political points.

More importantly, how is it that a city that’s 76% Black has a city council comprised of six members only one of whom is Black? Answer: Lazy MFers who can’t be bothered with voting. From the look of it, the Blacks are simply too damned lazy to elect a majority. If they did that, the PD could be Black as the Ace of Spades.

He can replace them with this, it is a security force more in keeping with modern America, and it’s future.

In 1988 the Nation of Islam created a separate security agency using members of the Fruit of Islam. The agency received contracts primarily to patrol and staff public housing complexes in tough urban areas like Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles and received at least $20 million in the 1990s for security work. NOI Security had notable successes in Washington, D.C. projects particularly, but had difficulty in others and faced opposition by some members of Congress and the Anti-Defamation League, among others. It also faced scrutiny from federal agencies for racial and gender preference in hiring and from the IRS for failure to withhold taxes from employees.
Mission statement
The Fruit of Islam says its mission is to teach civilization, and teach what they know to those who do not know. A Nation of Islam website urging men to enroll in the FOI describes members as “brave fighter[s] for Allah” engaged in “a unique war for the very heart and soul of a people.” The site explains, “The responsibility of the F.O.I. is that of a head of house: protection, provision, and maintenance of the Nation of Islam (all Original People). The F.O.I. are militant in the sense that our operations are done as a unit.”
Exactly, and how many have criminal backgrounds which prohibit them from becoming a LEO in the first place. It isn’t as easy as saying, “I want to be a cop.” A lot of training, and education goes into one even making it through the academy. I can’t believe the ignorance of some people.
The black residents could then loot 24/7 without worrying about being arrested. Just think, they could grab something off the wrack and try it on in a dressing room to make sure it's the right size before they leave the store. And the store owner would not want to close up shop because he would be called racist if he did.
What make him think the St. Louis PD wants to patrol Ferguson?
